HOW DO YOU DEFINE A SUCCESSFUL PROJECT? It’s in the wow and the appreciation you get from a client that makes it all worth it. Turning a vision into a reality. HOW DO YOU THINK YOUR CLIENTS WOULD CHARACTERIZE YOU? Trustworthy, thoughtful and caring. I give my full attention to the wants and needs of each and every one of my clients, always! WHAT ARE YOU WORKING ON NEXT? We are working on two large projects. Both women, retired, are looking to build their dream house, somewhere they can relax and enjoy life. My goal is to help them create a space that will give them their wants, needs and a place to call home.

HAMPTON DESIGN INTERIORS, INC. The spaces in which we live tell a story of whom we are, whom we love, what we like to do and how often we like to do it. Whether designing an elaborate kitchen, remodeling a bathroom or transforming an entire home, Peggy Fruin’s primary goal is to find the essence of her client’s style and ensure it is reflected in their surroundings. “I want to know all about my client: whether they cook or like to entertain; are they super clean or not so much; do they like cool colors or warm colors; and do they want a space that is simply beautiful or a space fit for a chef,” shares Fruin. “Tell me about you. How do you function in your kitchen?” Established in 1998, Hampton Design Interiors has grown into a leading kitchen and bath design firm, serving residential and spec-home projects throughout the Hamptons, New York City and Long Island. Blending the personal with the practical, Fruin and her team of designers strive to create interior spaces that enhance and invigorate the lives of its owners. “I want the client to walk in and have that thrill that we gave them what they wanted—and more,” says Fruin.

“At the end of the day, for me, it’s all about the wow factor.” –PEGGY FRUIN, OWNER

A house for all seasons, it features an open floor plan that is perfect for entertaining. The natural light is a complement for the slate blue lacquer cabinets, Caesarstone countertops and back-painted glass upper cabinets with no hardware for a sleek unified look.

This Southampton Village house was renovated to bring modern, sophisticated touches into the home. The chef-style kitchen features traditional white inset cabinets, Carrera marble counters and Sub-Zero/Wolf appliances.
