Founders and lead designers of Miami-based Mendez Vela Design, the duo has brought its expertise to locations across the U.S., Canada, South and Central America and the Caribbean. What is the soul of your brand? What drives your beliefs? The timeless casual elegance that comes from a combination of devotion to our trade and a passion for anything and everything with style, specifically interior design. This, combined with the personality of our clients, guides our design process from conception to completion. How would you describe the personality of your business? Multicultural, dynamic, elegant, functional and bold. The personality of our business is as unique as our clients. How do you stay abreast of new trends and styles? We visit design events around the world. Having our office in the Miami Design District also places us in close contact with the brands that are consistently defining new trends in the design world.

How do you think your clients would characterize you? Professional, multifaceted, versatile, stylish and fun. We limit the number of clients we work with at any given time in order to create a design experience that is personal and meaningful to the client. 2

What do you like most about your job? We feel blessed to be able to interact with our clients and design team every day to create something beautiful, functional and emotionally meaningful. Managing a project from concept to completion provides a great sense of satisfaction and accomplishment. What are your favorite hobbies? Traveling, getting to know new places and people, learning from a world that is defined by beauty and coming to understand new cultures and ideas that become an integral part of our lives and designs.
