Celebrating Sister LaKesha On Aug. 19, Sister LaKesha Church renewed her vows of religious profession for up to two years. The Rite of Renewal took place in a home prayer service in California. In attendance were Precious Blood Sisters Mary Faye Hellman, Terry Maher and Margo Young, as well as Sister of the Guardian Angel Hortensia del Villar. Originally from Lorain, Ohio, Sister LaKesha entered the Sisters of the Precious Blood in 2016 and made her first vows in 2018. She holds a bachelor’s degree in health care management and a master’s degree in early childhood education. Currently she teaches fourth grade at St. Adelaide Academy in Highland, California, and lives in community with Sisters in Redlands.
