INSTALLATION & VENTING • Installation is simple. The main steps involve positioning the toilet in the bathroom, positioning the remote tank (where applicable) and installing the venting. Use our Choosing guides to help select the right system for your space. • All vent installations should be as straight up (vertical) as possible. 90 degree bends should not be used to allow for proper evaporation and avoid venting issues. If you need to exit a side wall use 2 x 45 degree elbows. More info at go.sancorind.com/90. • Waterless Self-Contained Systems use a 3” vent and all Remote Systems, including FlushSmart VF Systems, use a 4” vent. • An optional Union Coupling is available for Waterless Self-Contained Systems to allow for easier vent removal. • In Waterless Self-Contained Systems all venting that is outside or in an attic must be insulated. • The vent should extend a minimum of 2 feet above where it exits the roof and be fitted with Wind Turbine Ventilator. Do not obstruct top of vent in any way. The vent may need to be extended higher if it is located in a spot with little or no wind. • An optional DC or AC Turbo Fan (in-line fan) is available for tall vent installations or to compensate for bends. • More info at go.sancorind.com/venting.
USE & CARE Operation is easy! Your Envirolet® can be used much like a “regular” flush toilet. However, there are just a few extra things you have to do to keep the natural composting process functioning as it should. Below are some basic things to do. Additives & Aeration • To keep your system operating normally you need to add a small amount of Sancor Daily Mix (or substitute locally available peat moss) every day and some Sancor Daily Mix (or substitution) every week. • Compost Accelerator is added weekly to speed up the composting process. • Pull the top Aerator handle 1-2 times a week. Toilet Paper • Use single-ply or biodegradable toilet tissue as it breaks down faster.
Cleaning • Clean your system with environment-friendly (biodegradable) cleaners only. No chemicals should be used. • Waterless Systems feature a removable bowl for periodic easy-cleaning out of the system. Switch Controls (DC and AC models only) 1. Normal Mode: When toilet will be in use. 2. Energy Mode: When toilet will not be is use for up to 2 weeks or to conserve power. 3. Off: When toilet will not be used for more than 2 weeks (e.g., shut down for season).

CAPACITY • Rated capacity listings (in Specifications and System pages) are based on users per day at 3 uses each per day. • Rated capacity varies depending on type of use (part-time vs. full-time use) and assumes normal installation and operation. • It is important to use your system within the rated capacity. • More info at go.sancorind.com/capacity.
EMPTYING • Systems are emptied from 1-2 times per year (seasonal cottage-type use) to 2-4 times per year (heavy use, full-time use, commercial use, etc.) under normal operation and conditions. • To empty, the sealed bottom panel is removed, the finished compost is raked down and the collection tray is removed. • The finished compost is clean, compost material. It can generally be disposed of in the forest, buried or added to non-food gardens. Check local regulations if any specific rules apply to your location. • More info at go.sancorind.com/empty.
