ENRICHMENT CAMPS – ARTS & SCIENCE MIXED MEDIA & PHOTOGRAPHY CAMP “It takes a lot of imagination to be a good photographer”–Pablo Picasso

Week 7

Campers this week will have fun and build a lifetime of memories together while they learn mixed media art, photography, painting, and journaling. All campers will be provided with a kids size digital camera so they can explore the fundamentals of the medium such as composition, light, and shadow. Each student will select photos and will make notebook style portfolio to enjoy with their family. We will walk to the park to explore the beautiful things such as plants landscape, rocks and leaves. Students will also choose from a variety of art supplies such as beads, glitter paper, water color, feathers, ribbons and yarn with the goal of creating an interesting visual images. All students will receive an art basket that will include canvas, colored pencils, water color, brushes, sketch paper, frames, and a photo album. And on Friday of camp, all campers will be treated to lunch! All materials are included in the price of this camp. Location: Isabel Cook Community Center, 1st Floor–Maple Room Ages K–5th M–F

DANCING DAISIES HIP HOP CAMP Campers will have opportunities to build and experience friendship, self–expression, and movement all while learning new dance skills. There will be an array of activities which will include creative dance lessons, nature walks, and outdoor play. All dancers are encouraged to wear comfortable and lightweight shoes/clothes. And on Friday of camp, all campers will be treated to lunch!

Week 6

Location: Isabel Cook Community Center, Rollins Art Studio Ages K–5th

CLAY + PLAY CAMP

Five kid friendly pottery wheels will be set up so that campers can create cups, bowls, and vases. Clay art enhances concentration, creativity, and mindfulness. Each student will be provided with the following items: light wight air dry clay, clay tools, aprons, paint, paint brushes, gems, beads, and feathers. And on Friday of camp, all campers will be treated to lunch! All materials are included in the price of this camp.

Campers will get to try a little bit of everything in this dance camp. They will learn ballet, jazz, tap, and Latino dance, plus learn to express creativity through painting, drawing, design, and art. This weeklong camp welcomes everyone and there is no experience necessary. And on Friday of camp, all campers will be treated to lunch!

During this week each camper will create at least 10 Week 8 to 12 pieces of fun and adorable air–dry clay sculptures. They will use their imaginations to transform air–dry clay in to animals, birds, tile, mobiles, critters, garden pieces, windchimes, bird houses, flower pots and more.

ALOHA DANCE CAMP

Campers will learn the art of baking, light cooking and decorating during camp this week. They will spend time learning about healthy ingredients, nutrition, and even serving sizes. This is nut free camp and we provide gluten free ingredients as well. Additional art projects related to cooking will also be provided. Materials include healthy ingredients, aprons, cookie cutters and decorating supplies, and carrying containers. And on Friday of camp, all campers will be treated to lunch! All materials are included in the price of this camp.

Hula is a graceful art and dance that is unique and represents various cultures. Children love to dress up in hula skirts and wear beautiful Lei adornments. Hula dance students will make and decorate their own hula skirts, flower necklaces, bracelets, and hair bands during this fun camp. Campers will learn intuitive dance moves so they can bring the beauty of the Hawaiians Islands right to their own homes. The hands and arm motions can even be used to represent aspects of nature! Campers will not only learn to dance, but we will take walks in the park, make adorable art, and create journal entries. And on Friday of camp, all campers will be treated to lunch!
