Taking of instructions from the Client to ascertain the requirements and the

constraints of work; •

Preparing preliminary sketch design to interpret the design brief;

•

Developing the sketch designs to a stage sufficient to enable applications to be made for planning approval or approval in principle in connection with any specific by-law

•

Preparing preliminary estimates of the probable construction cost based on current rates;

•

Where applicable, submitting the drawings to relevant approving authorities or local municipalities for approval in principle.

•

Upon the approval of the proposals by the relevant approval authority developing schematic design drawings to a stage to enable other independent consultants to commerce detailed design work;

•

Preparing working drawings and submitting them together with necessary

particulars to the relevant approving authority to obtain the statutory building approval; •

Updating or preliminary estimates of construction cost; and

•

Preparing a probable construction schedule and submitting for its approval.

• Preparing all tender documents necessary for obtaining competitive tenders for the

landscape works; • Pre-qualification of landscape contractors; • Inviting, on behalf of the Client, tenders for the landscape works or collaborating with the quantity surveyor engaged by the Client to do so; • Preparing the Contract either alone or in collaboration with other consultants appointed by the Client for the documents to be signed by Client and the landscape contractor.

• Performing all the function conferred upon the Consulting Architect under the terms

of the Contract; • Providing all information and the issuing of instructions to the Landscape Contractor to enable the Contractor to proceed with the work; • Providing periodic supervision of the works so as to ensure that the works are being executed in accordance to the Contract; • Providing the drawings of the works as installed and providing a set of as-built

drawings showing the Works as constructed for the Client together with the recommendation on their maintenance.

• Inspecting, reporting on and giving advice on the conditions of works;
