7.3.13 DISASSEMBLING THE REAR WHEEL BEARINGS Carefully read 0.5.1 (PRECAUTIONS AND GENERAL INFORMATIONS). ◆ Remove the rear wheel, see 7.3.1 (REMOVING THE

REAR WHEEL). ◆ Use a cloth to clean both sides of the hub.

Work from the right-hand side of the wheel:

NOTE Have the appropriate special tool m to hand: – aprilia part# 8140180 (Kit for bearings in the range Ø10 mm to Ø 30 mm). ◆ Use a special extractor to extract the right bearing (1). ◆ Retrieve the inner spacer (2).

Work from the left-hand side of the wheel: ◆ Remove the left spacer (3). ◆ Remove the seal (4). ◆ Remove the snap ring (5).

NOTE The elastic ring (5) is provided only on the left side of the wheel.

NOTE Have the appropriate special tool m to hand: – aprilia part# 8140180 (Kit for bearings in the range Ø10 mm to Ø 30 mm). ◆ Use a special extractor to extract the left bearing (6). ◆ Thoroughly clean the inside of the hub.

NOTE Wash

all the components with a clean deter-

gent.
