Sunbrella Acrylic Fabric Sunbrella Fabric is a solution dyed acrylic from Glen Raven’s Sunbrella Marine Grade collection that is considered the standard cover cloth in the boating industry because of its fantastic color options, high resistance to fading, and long life span. Strataglass Clear Vinyl Sheets Strataglass clear vinyl sheets are remarkably clear and scratchresistant. It performs well in boat curtain, automotive window and awning applications, where perfection of clarity and lack of distortion are demanded. A polymer coating is used to seal in the plasticize to keep the vinyl soft and flexible. Polyester threads, under daily sunlight exposure will lose as much as half their strength in as little as one year, and be down to 10% of their original strength in 3 years. Tenara maintains its strength and color indefinitely. The thread will outlast the fabric that it is sewn into. Comes with a full warranty to that effect. It is unaffected by canvas cleaning solutions and will not stain, rot or mildew. Dirt just wipes off. Using Gore Tenara Sewing Thread means seams that will last. Tenara sewing thread original style is the first generation of Tenara outdoor sewing thread. The original style sewing thread is not lubricated, with an elongation (or stretch) of five to seven percent.

Centerfold Centerfold has a natural fold in the center. It can be used with or without guides. Centerfold will not “neck down” under tension. The blind side behaves the same as the front.

Bias Cut Binding The binding is cut from the bias, which is a 45° angle to the warp of the fabric. This cutting method allows the binding to bend around gentle curves nicely.

Straight Cut Binding This binding is cut straight off the roll. It is a narrow strip of fabric to cover raw edges. It can be on sewn to the inside where it won’t be seen, or on the outside to show as a decoration.

Facing Facing is wider than traditional folded binding. It can be used as a zipper facing or cover and hem application.

Its large throat distance enables the different grommets’ required. The soft rubber grip on the handle provides more comfort when operating. Its special design greatly reduces hand force. Stimpson 405 Bench Press is used extensively in many businesses for setting eyelets, grommets and washers, and snaps. The 405 has now become the popular choice for setting Stimpson self-piercing grommets and washers in most lightweight fabrics. It is extremely durable and though replacement parts are always available, they are very rarely required. The tools are quickly interchangeable and while the operation is entirely by hand, the quality of work is equal to that done by large automatic machines.

Model 479 is a hand feed machine, ideal where production space is limited. Extremely versatile, the Model 479’s tools are quickly interchangeable and the machine can be used to set most Stimpson fasteners. The quality of its settings is equal to that of much larger automatic machines. This grommet machine is used in all industries from the textiles industry to the marine industry. The soft flange is designed to be sewn through with a sewing machine allowing for greater track versatility and flexibility. It can be installed over a gentle bend. Use to replace a zipper on canvas-to-canvas attachments for a more durable, leak resistant seal. Pair this awning track with Keder or vinyl extruded awning rope. Attach the awning rope to fabric and pull through the groove in the awning track.

Flex-A-Rail white 10’ long (PVC extrusion) is a great awning track for twisting around corners. Steam heat if necessary to bend. Easy to cut with a hacksaw. Drill holes every 4-12 inches through the center of the track with at least one hole next to each end of the track. Screw down the track to secure. Pair this awning track with the vinyl extruded awning rope (great seal, but fits very snugly and hard to work around a corner with a radius tighter than 10”). Attach the awning rope to fabric and pull through the groove in the awning track.

Remove surface scratches and blemishing with 210 Plus. A one-step formula that is an extremely mild abrasive compound with anti-static and anti-fog properties. 210 Plus is water soluble and easy to use with superior results. Can be used on lexan, plexiglass, lucite, acrylite, isinglass and other similar products.

Plexus seals the pores in plastic surfaces with a micro-thin layer of shiny, protective wax, making it resistant to debris, oil, scratches, and eventual yellowing. Use on any place you would normally use plastic cleaner. Plexus makes colored plastics vibrant, makes clear plastic virtually transparent, and leaves plastic paints gleaming like new.
