Registration

Camp registration is processed online. Registration will open Friday, March 1st at 8AM, and will remain open until classes are filled. There will be a non-refundable $45 registration fee per student. This year the registration fee includes a camp t-shirt. All camps are based on the incoming grade for the 2024-2025 school year.

Tuition

Camp tuition is refundable for cancellations made before May 17. In the event that a camp does not make sufficient enrollment, SGES will work to place the camper into an acceptable alternative camp. If placement is not possible, an account credit will be issued. We are unable to prorate or discount tuition due to camper absence.

Morning Care/ Lunch Bunch / Late Care

Morning care will be available from 8:00 AM - 9:00 AM. Campers should be dropped off in the Richard’s building (located off of East Castle Lane) each morning and will be taken to their camps at 9:00 AM. Lunch Bunch is offered each day from 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM. Campers need to bring their own lunch and drink each day. Late care will be offered from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM. All late care students will need a snack, this will not be provided by St. George Late care students will be on the playground until 5:30 PM. Any student not picked up by then will be signed out in the Leadership Center (LC). Any student not picked up by 5:30 PM will incur late charges of $1 per minute.

Camp Sessions

Morning camp sessions are from 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM. Afternoon sessions are from 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM. Parents will drop campers off and pick them up at the Richard’s building (located off of East Castle Lane). Campers should be dropped off no earlier than 10 minutes prior to session start time.

Security

St. George will provide standard campus security during the camp day, which includes all gates being locked at all times with access only granted through the Leadership Center until late care. We will have an SAPD officer on campus throughout the day.

All About Ceramics

Do you love working with clay? In this camp you will create 3 different sculptures using the following techniques: pinch pot, slab and coil. Once these techniques have been taught, you will be turned loose to create your own, one-of-a-kind piece of ceramic art to treasure forever! Come join us this summer as we have some fun sticking our hands in the mud and making some awesome art! *All clay pieces will be glazed and fired. You will be notified when your piece is ready to be picked up. (typically 2-3 weeks after camp is over)

Amazing Art

This exciting class introduces students to a variety of art media and allows them to explore and play while creating amazing art! Not sure what type of art you might like best? No problem! Students start the week by creating a unique clay sculpture then will get to try something different and new every day Learn about famous artists and their artwork as you try your hand at pastels, painting, watercolor and cartooning. Learn about art elements such as line, shape, form, value, texture and space. Art has never been so fun!

Art Camp!

Calling all aspiring artists! Join Mrs Dragg for a hands-on exploration of famous works of art. We will study acclaimed artists, their contributions to the field, and will try out some of their techniques! We will study pop art, and create our own sunrise pop art piece inspired by Roy Lichtenstien. We will study the concentric circles by Kandinsky, and try it on for size by creating our own concentric circles! We will explore works by Picasso, and make our own Picasso inspired clay sculpture. We will study Monet, and recreate the Japanese Bridge over a Pond of White Lilies using nothing but our

fingers, and paint! Lastly, we will learn about Michelangelo, and the various theories for how he completed the Sistine Chapel and try out the theories in the classroom. We will paint on our backs!

Slime Camp

Get ready for a delightfully sensory experience as we gear up for an exciting event centered around the enchanting world of slime and playdough! From getting sticky and stretchy to fluffy and crunchy, we're exploring it all. Join us as we mix and mold different textures using a diverse array of ingredients, including shaving cream, lotion, foam balls, mini fruits, clay, glow-in-the-dark powder, glitter, and more! Our mornings will be filled with hands-on creativity, fueled by the inspiration drawn from captivating books. Each slime creation will be intricately tied to a unique story, making the entire experience not only engaging but also a fantastic journey into the imaginative world of textures and colors. Snapology Mini-Figure Mania

Building with LEGO® bricks is often about one thing; making incredible constructions for the mini-figures that get to live and use them. This Snapology program will provide a structure for students to make some truly wild creations; from engineering challenges like making the tallest towers or fastest car, to ones that require more imagination and creativity, like building a city or vacation parks in this fun camp.

Art of Painting

This unique and fun class offers students ages 7 and up the opportunity to explore painting with both acrylics and watercolor. Each painting will introduce students to new techniques and design ideas as they learn about famous artists from both past and present. Students will experiment with blending color to create highlights and shadows, learn about the color wheel and how to mix their own color palette as well as play with unusual painting techniques. Each completed "masterpiece" will be suitable for framing

Geology ROCKS!

Join Mrs. Dragg this summer for a week of Geology Rocks! In this camp we will examine beautiful geodes and discover how they are formed. Throughout the week, we will enjoy many hands-on science and art based activities. We will learn about gemstones in jewelry, and will make our own gemstone keepsake bracelet. We will learn about minerals you can eat and make a delicious crystal sugar cookie! We will examine agate slices through an artistic lens and make our own agate art piece We will end the week with a bang, and crack open our own geode for a special keepsake item!

Snapology Robopets Robotics Camp with Spike Prime

In this camp, your builder will begin their exploration into the world of robotics by building simple, animal-inspired machines that are controlled by icon-based program codes. We will teach your little learner some fundamental engineering and programming concepts as they build goofy animals and design perfect habitats to protect their new robotic friends. Maybe you can't have an alligator as a pet at home, but you can definitely build one in our classroom this summer with Snapology!

San Antonio Ballet School Features Eras Tour

Build on the sewing skills learned in Sewing School: Basics and take your sewing to the next level! This exciting class is designed for kids who like to imagine and create their own handmade stuffed animals, wearable art and accessories Students will review sewing basics then learn design principles as they create their own patterns. A wide variety of materials and notions are provided for ultimate experimentation as students sew unique handcrafted items This class will have guided class projects as well as give students the opportunity to create independent pieces. In this game-focused robotics program, your engineer will explore the basics of robotics while playing some really awesome games with and against their classmates! rewarding skill that they can master with just a little practice We will support them in the development of their coding and building skills and inspire them with creative building challenges and awesome games!

ABC Cooking

Indulge in the perfect blend of learning and culinary creativity at our exciting ABC Cooking Camp! If you have a love for the alphabet and a passion for cooking, this camp is tailor-made for you. Look at this stuff, isn’t it neat! We’re excited to welcome you to a week of outdoor adventures and beautification projects. We will practice reducing, reusing and recycling, and making things for nature! There’s so much to explore right here at Saint George!

All About Ceramics

Do you love working with clay? In this camp you will create 3 different sculptures using the following techniques: pinch pot, slab and coil. Once these techniques have been taught, you will be turned loose to create your own, one-of-a-kind piece of ceramic art to treasure forever! Folklorico II

Fun in First

Get ready to meet some friends and become familiar with all things first grade! This camp will be the perfect opportunity for our incoming "firsties" to start the new school year with comfort and ease We will have a blast with fun and games while refreshing our minds with many beginning of first grade skills including math, phonics and reading.

Lower School Volleyball

The Lower School Volleyball Camp is geared towards incoming 3rd through 5th graders. All aspects of the game are taught through drills and exercises that focus on passing, setting, hitting and serving. This camp is designed for the beginner to intermediate player and will incorporate essential life-lessons such as teamwork and sportsmanship. Our volleyball staff will assist each athlete in developing the fundamental skills of the game through game-based drills and daily scrimmages aimed at developing the whole player. Players will need a Volley-Lite volleyball, a refillable water bottle, and a snack.

Multiplication Madness

Join Mrs. Weis for a fun week exploring and mastering basic multiplication facts. Students will learn various tips, tricks, and strategies to become more fluent and succeed in the coming school year. At the end of the week, students will take home their own set of multiplication flashcards

Note: All incoming 4th and 5th-grade students are encouraged to master their multiplication facts by the start of the school year. The curriculum will quickly jump into multi-digit by multi-digit multiplication as well as long division.

Snapology Jedi Masters- Star Wars® inspired camp

In this Star Wars®-inspired program we will use LEGO® bricks and materials for your youngling to explore the galaxy with their master building skills and our intergalactically-focused curriculum. Motivated to become a Jedi like the heroes in the movies, students will learn to concentrate on mastering the Force, appreciating the use of teamwork to build battle drones and AT-Walkers, and if they’re skills are up to par, make their very own lightsaber and use it in battle! May the force be with your young Padawan as they rise through the Jedi ranks in this fun camp!
