Technology Requirements Salus University provides laptop computers to each physician assistant student which is supported by the University’s Technology and Library Services. This technology requirement is included in the financial aid packet. Students also will be issued an iPad for additional convenience. These devices are to ensure each student’s ability to access required educational websites, databases, and software throughout the Program. For example, students will need laptops to access evidence-based literature and e-books for assigned coursework, Blackboard to access course-related materials, and Exam Master for testing purposes. Affiliated Undergraduate Physician Assistant Programs Salus University has teamed with other universities to acknowledge their commitment to the training of future practitioners of primary healthcare by joining in an articulation agreement. Under the joint agreement, up to four select undergraduate students from each institution, who successfully complete specific core course requirements at those institutions, may continue their education in physician assistant studies at Salus University in the 3+2 degree program of study. Those selected for the 3+2 degree program will complete the first three years of the Pre-Physician Assistant Studies Curriculum at the partner university, which may consist of 90-101 semester hours of undergraduate education (depending on the undergraduate institution of study), including prerequisites. Candidates must maintain good standing with a GPA of 3.0 or above. The next two years will be completed at Salus University in the Physician Assistant Studies program. The student is awarded a Bachelor's degree by the partner university upon the successful completion of the first year at Salus and a Master of Medical Science degree by Salus University at the conclusion of the graduate degree program.
