The Salt Lake Home Builders Association presents the 67th annual “Parade of Homes™,” the longest running parade of its kind in the nation. This year’s Parade features 38 homes presented by 31 builder members ranging in price from $197,750 to well over $4,000,000. This Parade also features two large remodel projects completed by two of our builder members. As you tour the Parade you will enjoy hot new trends in architecture, interior design and the latest technology in home construction. This year we have 15 builder members presenting 18 “Make-A-Wish® rooms” honoring wishes granted by the Make-A-Wish® Foundation of Utah. A portion of the proceeds from each ticket sold is donated to the Make-A-Wish® Foundation of Utah to assist in granting wishes within our community. Welcome to the 67th Salt Lake Parade of Homes™! This year marks the return of the Parade as it once was, blended with the progressive advances and technology of the present. All will find reward in discovering this year’s Parade of Homes™, which includes practical and efficient starter homes, distinguished and resonating interiors, and the return of luxurious and timeless quality. Bobby McAlpine, a nationally renowned architect, shared in his book, The Home Within Us, the following about why we build, “For many of us, the quest for home carries us through exhaustive search and compromise. Those who are highly attuned rarely succeed in bending the soul of a house they did not build to their will. A heart 2013 slhba president that is developed craves evidence of itself and the subtleties it has discovered. I dreamed of walking in the beauty and reality of my own Brandon LeRoy Jackson and LeRoy mind. I had no place I recognized. This, in a nutshell, is why we build. Remodeling When we finally find sanctuary in physical edifice that mirrors our soul, it is ground gained and won – a flag on the moon of the heart.” As the Salt Lake Home Builders Association, we band together to promote a better industry, a better economy, a better community, a better experience, better home builders and remodelers, and ultimately a better home for each one of you. We require our members to adhere to a strict code of ethics and encourage them to contribute to charitable organizations, promote consumer advocacy on the local, state, and national level, and protect private property rights. You can join us in this effort by choosing a member next time you have a remodeling project or are looking to build a new home. Once again, the Salt Lake Home Builders Association is proud to partner with the Make-AWish® Foundation of Utah. This year we have an unprecedented 18 rooms being decorated to honor a few of the many wishes granted by their Foundation. Look for these rooms and prepare to be touched by the stories of the courageous young recipients of these wishes.
