Salpointe Rises Above Adversity

After the arson fire on July 17, 2022 destroyed the English building, Salpointe began exploring how to turn this adversity into opportunity. Knowing that the building was beyond repair, we chose to build for the future, not the past. We created a plan to construct a two-story facility that will serve as the home for Salpointe’s integrative wellness center and include a wellness activity room, meditation studio and teaching kitchen. This nationally innovative center will focus on the most important six dimensions of wellness for high school students: spiritual, intellectual, physical, emotional, social and environmental. Additionally, the new structure will house eleven state of the art classrooms, assuring that every Salpointe teacher has his/her own classroom.

We are grateful to the many donors who have generously supported this endeavor, especially those who have gifted $25,000 or above:

Salpointe continues to negotiate with our insurance company and is prepared with architectural drawings and construction contracts to begin building construction as soon as our claim is settled. We hope to dedicate the Salpointe Center for Wellness in January 2025.
