The revolutionary performance of IQ-TEC in the special hightech reflectors from Busch & Müller enables a unique dispersion of light never thought possible before. When the headlamp is adjusted in a way to ensure that the brightest spot of up to 60 lux is 10 m in front of the bicycle, the light/dark borderline on the track will be approximately 18 m ahead. The exceptional new feature is that the illuminated area begins just 1 m in front of the bicycle. Brilliant light at such a close range (with smooth transition to the central area) is imperative for a safe cycling experience. Forget the “black hole” right in front of you. Instead and similar to cycling in daylight, this technology now permits immediate reaction to small uneven spots or obstacles by swift, intuitive steering movements – a decisive and added benefit in terms of “perceived” and real safety!

300 % brighter than required by the German StVZO standard German StVZO requires at least 10 lux. According to this standard, a headlamp must also emit bright light throughout a clearly defined area rather than in a particular spot only. IQ-TEC “outshines” this StVZO requirement by more than 300 %.

German traffic regulations
Very distinct LED spots shine beneath the main riding light, arranged in one or more rows. Their exclusive function is to signal other traffic participants, a function that a properly aligned bicycle alone cannot fulfil. Its light beam is concentrated on the road and confined at the top by the light/dark boundary.
The necessary conditions are always met, in day mode as well as in night mode.

The LUMOTEC senso versions engage automatically when cycling at twilight or in a tunnel, providing added safety both actively (to see) and passively (to be seen)! Take your choice between automatic sensor control and manual operation. The automatic start-up feature requires continuous energy supply which is why the senso versions are only available for bicycles with a hub dynamo.
Approved overload protection The headlamps come with a system related approved overload protection! This will prevent headlamp failure caused by overvoltage. Also in case of older dynamos (without overload protection).

Thanks to their sophisticated shape and compatible bracket options, LUMOTEC headlamps are universally suitable for any bicycle equipped with both a hub and a bottle dynamo. Cables are either preassembled or can be easily and safely connected with plugs. Exchanging the halogen bulb is easy and fast as lightning. No need for tools!
plus – Standlight without a battery The LUMOTEC plus versions stand out for their automatic standlight feature. The standlight comes on automatically. You will not need any batteries or rechargeable batteries! The standlight LED works on energy supplied by a maintenance free condenser which is recharged whilst riding.
Light in perfection: LED and halogen With many LUMOTEC versions the choice is yours. The proven and reliable halogen lamps provide an intense, warm light. LED headlamps spend a brilliant, white light with Xenon effect and the LEDs have a service life of up to 100,000 hours. It is not so much the type of light source but rather the LUMOTEC reflector technology that is the deciding factor for light output. It is the specific high tech design “Made in Germany” incorporating a free form surface technology and clear glass design that ensures an outstandingly bright track illumination.

Latest technology for rear lights LineTec is our new and patented light system with special lens effect. The light spot of high output LEDs is expanded and gains a new spatial dimension. A homogeneous strip of light is created. What is so important about that? In the past, if one approached a bicycle from behind, one could only see a single rear light spot which made it almost impossible to estimate the distance. To do that, the eye needs a spatial relation – especially in the dimensionless dark. A rear light with a LineTec light strip emits such a spatial light. That is why other traffic participants can now estimate the distance much better and quicker.

Automatic standlight function Dynamo operated models: Each TOPLIGHT plus features the combined condenser/ automatic standlight system which works entirely without batteries. The condenser is charged during the ride. Whenever the cyclist stops, the condenser automatically supplies energy to the rearlight. Battery operated models: On the TOPLIGHT permanent, the rear light is switched on manually and shines permanently – even when the bicycle is not moving.

Dynamo operated models: Attach a LUMOTEC senso headlamp! The SENSO technology in the headlamp controls the entire lighting system including the rear light so that an integral sensor is not necessary. Battery operated models: TOPLIGHT senso features an integral light/dark sensor in the rear light that automatically comes on in the dark. It is always coupled to an additional sensor (movement). To save energy, a timer deactivates the standlight function after four minutes when you park your bicycle at night.

In HighPower mode, the IQ-LED supplies an extremely bright light for up to 5 hours thanks to the special reflector technology. The CityEco mode achieves 10 lux for 20 hours. DIWA Distance Warning System. The first bicycle lighting system with a stoplight effect – the warning light signal that comes on whenever the bicycle slows down.
This is how it works. The dynamo frequency is an unmistakable measure for the integral electronic system in the headlamp to register that the bicycle slows down considerably. An electronic signal immediately activates the “stoplight”(via the rear light LED) – just like a car stoplight and is significantly brighter than the traditional rear light.
Standlight function in front and at the back, automatic startup function at twilight and in the dark. Without rechargeable batteries or standard batteries. Entirely maintenance free.

DYMOTEC The bottle dynamo with about 40% efficiency. The angle to the tyre and the contact pressure can be easily and perfectly adjusted by means of the special positioning system. Just a light finger touch is all you need to swing the dynamo to the tyre. The special roller designed for extreme weather conditions (in rain, sludge, snow and ice) and made from VA steel brushes is available as a spare part. It is gentle to the tyre, self cleaning and provides maximum traction paired with optimum contact pressure.
