Jaguar Navy Sends Five Boats to Nationals; Finishes Fourth at Midwest The crew program once again performed at a high level during the 2019 season. The Jaguar Navy, featuring 54 student-athletes, sent a program-record five boats to the National Scholastic Rowing Association of America (SRAA) Regatta where they competed against the top high school teams in the country. Over the course of the two-day regatta, the Jaguars raced hard and gained a lot of experience racing at the highest scholastic level. Both the Varsity 4+ and the Lightweight 4+ had the highest finishes for the Jaguars as they each finished eighth in the country. Two weeks before, the crew finished in fourth place in the girls’ division at the Midwest Scholastic Rowing Championships. Earlier in the season, the Jaguars won the Debbie Mitchell Women’s Regatta Champions trophy for the third consecutive year at the St. Mary’s Laddie Cup, in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Rugby Finishes as State Runner-Up This was the first year the rugby team competed under the new leadership of Head Coach Mr. Rob Pace. The rugby program finished its season with a tough loss in the State championship game. The team posted an overall 7-3-1 record including two big wins over the reigning State champions Hudson. They also traveled back to Elkhart, Indiana where they finished fourth place in the Midwest Championships. Despite the ups and downs of the season, the team beat out the Hudson Explorers in the Semifinals with a 43-19 win earning them a spot in the State championship at Obetz Fortress in Obetz, Ohio.
