DIY FALL APPLE FACIAL
The peel of an apple is rich in vitamins and minerals. It contains polyphenols, an antioxidant that helps protect against ultraviolet radiation and leads to younger looking skin. Apple peels are also rich in vitamin C, which prevents premature aging, and enhances skin glow.
Honey is one of nature's most revered skin remedies. Thanks to its antibacterial and antiseptic abilities, it may benefit oily and acneprone skin. Honey is also a natural humectant, so it helps keep the skin moist but not oily. This is because humectants draw moisture from the skin without replacing it.
INGREDIENTS 1 red apple 3 tablespoons honey
DIRECTIONS Put the whole apple and honey in a food processor and blend until you have a puree. Smooth the mixture over your face, avoiding your eyes. Let it sit for 10-15 minutes, rinse with warm water.
