LETTER FROM THE HEAD OF SCHOOL

activities. Students and staff alike fully embraced our theme, “It’s not about us, it’s all about Him.” Through school-wide service projects and mission trips, they gave of themselves joyfully, logging over 9,000 hours of service and sharing the Gospel both locally and abroad. On the field, on the

stage, and in peer groups, their hearts created community, shaped character, and pointed others to the person and work of Jesus Christ.

This year also brought nationally recognized academic distinction. SACS became one of fewer than 25 schools out of 2,200 nationwide to earn ACSI Exemplary Accreditation, and one of only 71 schools accredited by the Council on Educational Standards & Accountability (CESA), which include the most respected Christian schools across the nation. These rare affirmations confirmed our commitment, along with your support, to pursuing Christcentered excellence with all that we know and love about SACS.

We also celebrated an increase in enrollment as God continues to draw mission-fit families to our school. SACS welcomed 192 new students, a 23% increase from the prior year, bringing today’s total enrollment to 995 students from Pre-K through 12th grade. This responsible growth is not about numbers, but about real young lives being shaped for the glory of the Lord and for the advancement of His kingdom purposes.

Looking ahead, Vision 2030 continues to guide our priorities for school improvement initiatives. The groundwork laid this year in academics, fine arts, athletics, facilities, and advancement all point to God’s blessings and a stronger school for your incredible children. Yet our deepest commitment remains unchanged: to partner with families in raising their precious children to fully embrace their creator, their purpose, and to provide an atmosphere where they can live out their faith with courage, compassion, and conviction.

On behalf of our Board of Directors, faculty, and staff, thank you for entrusting your children to us and for standing with us in prayer and partnership. Every achievement in this Praise Report is ultimately for His glory, and every story is a testimony of His goodness and grace.

CAMPUS IMPROVEMENTS

Made possible by our generous donors.

PRACTICE FIELD

Adjacent to the new golf practice facility, the remaining field was transformed into a multi-purpose turfed space—an example of God’s provision through the generosity of many donors. This addition blesses boys’ and girls’ teams with safe, year-round practice capacity and provides durable space for PE, conditioning, and student activities.

PUTTING GREEN

God has provided SACS with a beautiful new golf practice facility and putting green through the generosity of our community. One SACS family funded the project, while another family-owned company made the work possible at a significant savings. Together, their generosity reflects the heart of our mission and provides students a space to grow in skill, character, and faith while enjoying a lifelong sport.

ELEMENTARY GATE

Thanks to the generosity of many families during our Spring Fling paddle raise, SACS installed a new electric elementary gate to improve safety and traffic flow. This project provides a smoother, more secure carpool experience for students and parents alike. We are grateful for this practical improvement that blesses daily campus life and reflects how God sufficiently provides through our community.

ARCC

The Academic Resource and Collaboration Center (ARCC), formerly the old secondary library, has been transformed into a flexible space where students and teachers connect, create, and collaborate. From research to Bible study to group projects, it fosters both learning and community. God provided this renewal through the generosity of two SACS families.

STEM ROOM

SACS recently celebrated the opening of a newly renovated STEM Lab, created to inspire curiosity, collaboration, and hands-on learning. This refreshed space provides students with opportunities to explore science, technology, engineering, and math in engaging ways that strengthen problem-solving and creativity. We are thankful for the generosity that made this possible and will bless students for years to come.

BLAIR CABANA

The Blair Cabana honors Colin Blair’s 16 years of faithful leadership on the SACS Board of Directors and his family’s many contributions. Made possible by gifts from current and former board members and a retired executive assistant, it now serves as a welcoming community gathering space.

ADDITIONAL IMPROVEMENTS

The Elementary School received a brand-new computer lab, providing students with upgraded technology for learning and exploration

New fellowship areas and unique seating spaces were added across campus, creating inviting places for students and families to connect

Enhanced landscaping and new turf were added across campus, creating a more welcoming and attractive environment for the school community

Upgrades to the 4H barn enhanced facilities to ensure the health, safety, and well-being of the animals

CAMPUS LIFE

Moments that shaped our year.

Rooted in faith and built on community, student life at SACS is filled with moments that bring our campus together. These shared experiences create lasting memories as each event reflects who we are and what we value.

CHRISTMAS ON MANE

Our annual Christmas on Mane Street celebration was a joyful evening filled with community, tradition, and fellowship. Families enjoyed shopping, hayrides, student performances, food trucks, and a festive parade. We are incredibly thankful for the volunteers who helped bring it all to life and for the opportunity to celebrate the birth of our Savior together as a school.

HOMECOMING

Homecoming at SACS is always special, and this year was no exception! Our Lions brought home a big win, with the stands packed full of students, alumni, and families. From tailgates to reunions, the night was filled with connection, celebration, and school spirit. It was a beautiful reminder of the lasting bonds within the SACS community.

SENIOR BBQ

This year’s Senior BBQ was more than just great food—it was a meaningful act of service. Our seniors united to serve BBQ plates during secondary lunch, raising $2,678 for Sleep in Heavenly Peace, a ministry that provides beds for children in need.

FAMILY DAYS

As a Covenant Christian school, we value our partnership with like-minded Christian families in cultivating Christ-centered lives. This year, we shared meaningful time together through events such as Devotions with Dad, Message with Mom, Grandparents Day, and more. Each of these special moments helped strengthen our community and deepen our shared faith in Jesus Christ.

ALL SCHOOL WORSHIP

Our all school worship event brought together parents and students from every grade to unite in praise and reflection. It was powerful to see the entire school lifting their voices and hearts to Jesus. Moments like this remind us what it truly means to grow together in Christ.

VISIT FROM THE GOVERNOR

San Antonio Christian School was honored to host Governor Greg Abbott and The Parent Empowerment Coalition for Parent Empowerment Night—a special evening focused on the vital role of parental involvement in education. The event brought hundreds of families from across the community to our campus and gave SACS students a meaningful opportunity to participate. From our high school rock band’s performance to a patriotic medley led by students from every division, the night reflected our commitment to community, service, and Christ-centered education. Student ambassadors greeted guests with warmth, and our journalism students had the unique opportunity to interview the governor, discussing topics including his personal faith.

SPIRITUAL LIFE

Rooted in Faith. Growing in Christ.

A message from our Director of Spiritual Life

This year, our campus centered around the theme: “God First—All About Him, Not About Us.” From our youngest students in Pre-K to our graduating seniors, I saw hearts stirred and lives shaped by this truth. It wasn’t just something we talked about in chapel—it found its way into conversations, classrooms, and the quiet moments that form lasting faith.

I watched students step into leadership, lift their voices in worship, ask deep questions, serve joyfully, and share the Gospel—often in ways that surprised even them. God has been at work on our campus, and it’s been a privilege to walk with students as they discover who He is and who they’re becoming in Him.

CHAPEL

Guided by the theme “God First,” Pre-K–12 chapels pointed students to God’s character through worship, teaching, and testimony. Elementary chapels featured music, Bible storytelling, and student leadership, including a new PreK–5th chapel committee and worship led by the Pre-K choir. Middle and High School students engaged through verseby-verse teaching, student-led worship, and breakout sessions with local pastors. A key shift this year placed huddles after chapel, creating space for students to reflect, discuss, and apply what they heard—fostering a culture where students didn’t just attend chapel but led and grew in community.

MISSIONS

Missions Month in March has become a vibrant tradition featuring testimonies from global missionaries and students returning from the field. GO! Trips to Costa Rica and the Dominican Republic gave students firsthand ministry experience, strengthening their faith and sense of calling. Their stories sparked reflection across campus on service, answered prayer, and sharing the Gospel with others. New mission opportunities in Guatemala and U.S.-based locations are expanding access to hands-on ministry, while student-led worship during Holy Week invited the school community to reflect on Christ’s sacrifice and resurrection.

SERVICE

Students across all divisions lived out their faith through action, logging over 9,000 service hours in San Antonio and beyond. Service became part of daily life—not just events—shaped by monthly spiritual themes and initiatives like “God Spot,” which helped elementary students recognize God’s presence in everyday acts of kindness. From classroom-led projects to school-wide outreach, students embraced a posture of humility and love, serving not to impress but to reflect God’s heart.

It’s one thing to hear about spiritual formation in school. It’s another to see your child come home changed— thinking about others, eager to pray, and wanting to serve. That’s what ‘God First’ has meant for our family.”

ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

GRADES Pre-K–5TH

The 2024–2025 school year was a joyful season of growth in every direction—spiritual, academic, and relational. From the excitement of first-day drop-offs to the joy of final-year milestones, we saw God’s hand shaping the lives of our students. At SACS Elementary, we are committed to partnering with families to raise young image-bearers who love God, pursue excellence, and

serve others. This year, that mission was more visible than ever. Our chapel theme, “God First: All About Him, Not About Us,” became a living truth on our campus—not just something spoken in chapel, but something practiced in hallways, classrooms, and daily conversations. We saw students leading, worshiping, asking deep questions, and even being baptized. We are watching God plant seeds that will grow for a lifetime.

SPIRITUAL LIFE & DISCIPLESHIP

This year’s “God First” theme guided students through ten attributes of God’s character and brought them to life through weekly chapels, classroom devotionals, Scripture memory, and the God Spot initiative. The participation of the Pre-K choir and the launch of a new hymn curriculum introduced students to the rich heritage of our faith through timeless worship. Most significantly, several students made public professions of faith through baptism—a powerful testament to God’s work in their lives.

ACADEMIC GROWTH

For the 2025–2026 school year, we’re expanding to meet growing demand with a new Three-Year-Old Pre-K program—Lion Cub Academy. This year, four elementary students qualified for the national ACSI Math Olympics, with two placing at the international level. Across classrooms, hands-on learning brought lessons to life, fostering a Christ-centered pursuit of knowledge and preparing students to lead and serve with purpose.

COMMUNITY

Grandparents Day has become a beloved campus tradition, bringing together over 500 grandparents to celebrate family legacies and the spiritual heritage shared by our students. Parents deepened their connection through Room Parent and PTF devotions, studying God’s Word, and collaborating to serve the school with purpose and unity. Generous Lion Fund gifts also made possible exciting upgrades to the elementary gym and playgrounds, creating vibrant spaces that reflect the joy and energy of student life.

MIDDLE SCHOOL

GRADES 6TH–8TH

As we reflect on the 2024–2025 school year, we as a Middle School faculty are so grateful for all the ways our students grew and excelled—not just academically, but spiritually, and in their interactions with others. Middle School is such an important time in a student’s life, and we have enjoyed watching them take purposeful steps in discovering who they are in Christ.

It continues to be such a joy to walk alongside them and to partner with you on this journey. Whether in the classroom or chapel, through service projects or leadership opportunities, this year was full of meaningful moments where God planted seeds of truth and transformation in their hearts. We are grateful.

CULTURE & STUDENT SUPPORT

This year’s renewed focus on relational connection and student ownership strengthened school culture. Grade-level team leads strengthened unity and improved communication, while expanded academic support ensured students with accommodations thrived. Leadership opportunities in chapel, electives, service, and ambassador roles empowered students to take initiative and grow in responsibility.

Middle School Principal Catherine Sheats

ACADEMIC GROWTH & ENRICHMENT

This year marked a significant academic shift with the introduction of a block schedule and an embedded academic advising period. Students engaged in a rich and diverse course catalog that extended far beyond core subjects, with standout electives like Smokin’ SACS BBQ, Girls’ Magazine, Service Leadership, Cinematography, and Worship Team. Outside the classroom, students thrived in competitions such as Math Olympics and CyberPatriots, showcasing a culture of curiosity, collaboration, and excellence.

SPIRITUAL FORMATION & DISCIPLESHIP

Middle School students deepened their faith through weekly chapels, grade-level retreats, and huddle groups. Discipleship extended beyond the classroom, with students logging over 2,100 hours of community service through local ministries, outreach events, and global mission trips. Through leading, praying, reflecting, and worshiping, many students were surprised by how powerfully God moved through their steps of obedience.

LOOKING AHEAD

As we look ahead, we are excited to build on this year’s momentum by deepening our academic strategies, strengthening reading and literacy initiatives, and continuing to cultivate a culture where every student knows they are loved, known, and called by God. The middle school years are full of questions—and at SACS, we have the joy of walking with students as they discover that Jesus is the answer to all of them.

HIGH SCHOOL

GRADES 9TH–12TH

This year at SACS High School was one of momentum and mission. I watched students lean into who they are in Christ, stretch themselves in leadership, pursue excellence with humility, and grow into the young men and women God has called them to be. Whether through Interim Week experiences, student-led worship, or acts of quiet service, our students lived out the truth that everything we do is for God’s glory.

I’m especially proud of how our seniors finished strong—

academically, spiritually, and as role models for the next generation. They leave with more than just college acceptances—they leave with a deeper faith, stronger character, and a sense of purpose that will guide them well beyond graduation.

As we look ahead, I’m excited to build on this year’s foundation, deepen our investment in leadership and discipleship, and continue shaping a school culture where Christ is honored in every space—from the classroom to the court, the stage to the mission field.

SPIRITUAL FORMATION

This year, students deepened their walk with Christ through engaging chapels, student-led worship, and small group reflection. Holy Week was a powerful highlight, as students led the school in meaningful worship and creative expressions. A new Leadership Development Program equipped students to lead with purpose across spiritual life, academics, school spirit, events, and communication— preparing them to lead confidently in college, career, and calling.

ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT

This year’s seniors demonstrated both academic excellence and spiritual maturity, earning a 100% college acceptance rate with 200+ offers across diverse fields such as pre-med, engineering, ministry, business, and aviation. Through Interim Week, students explored their passions and served others through mission trips, internships, international travel, college visits, and local projects, making it a year of purpose and preparation.

CAMPUS LIFE

This year, students embraced every opportunity to glorify God through creativity, teamwork, and commitment—whether on stage, on the field, or in the classroom. From sold-out performances of Legally Blonde Jr. to strong postseason athletic finishes and growing student leadership in worship, clubs, and service, co-curricular life at SACS flourished as students used their gifts to reflect the One who gave them.

LOOKING AHEAD

We are excited to deepen our investment in what matters most: discipleship, leadership, academic distinction, and a thriving, Christ-centered community. We remain deeply grateful for God’s hand over SACS High School—and for the people who continue to make it a place where Christ is lifted high in all things.

SACS ATHLETICS

Training Champions for Christ.

At San Antonio Christian School, athletics is about more than the scoreboard. It’s about transformation— cultivating grit, humility, leadership, and a kingdom mindset in every athlete. In 2024–2025, our studentathletes competed with excellence, represented our school with character, and embodied what it means to “perform for an Audience of One.” From the first kickoff to the final whistle, they trained hard,

supported one another, and made Christ known— on the field, in the classroom, and in the community. Excitement is building as we look toward new athletic facilities and continued investment in our programs. But more than that, we remain committed to shaping champions of character—athletes who compete fiercely, lead faithfully, and give glory to God in every season. “To God be the glory, in every play, every game, and every practice.”

FAITH AT THE CENTER

This year’s greatest victories weren’t on the field—they were in the hearts of our athletes. Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) huddles consistently drew 75–100 students each month for worship, teaching, and community. Coaches led by example, modeling servant leadership and mentoring students spiritually. Studentathletes gave back—serving in Special Olympics, participating in local outreach, and showing Christlike love through their platforms. Events like Fields of Faith brought athletes together across sports and grade levels, uniting them in worship and setting a tone of spiritual purpose that extended far beyond the sidelines.

TRAINING FOR MORE THAN THE GAME

This year, SACS Athletics introduced “H Period,” an in-school athletic enrichment block designed to elevate performance without compromising academics or family time. During this dedicated training window, student-athletes built strength, speed, and stamina, trained with greater intentionality, reduced after-school commitments, and achieved better balance between sports, studies, and home life.

ATHLETIC EXCELLENCE

SACS continued to rise as a force in TAPPS, with multiple district championships, deep postseason runs, and individual honors across nearly every sport. Our athletic program stood among the top schools statewide in the TAPPS Henderson Cup standings, which celebrate holistic success in athletics and academics.

FINE ARTS

A Space to Create, Perform, and Worship.

At San Antonio Christian School, the Fine Arts program provides students with a space to explore their God-given creativity through visual and performing expression.

THEATRE

This year, more than 130 students participated in theatre productions across all grade levels, bringing beloved stories to life through Newsies Jr., Finding Nemo Jr., and Legally Blonde Jr. From elementary to high school, our students discovered the joy of performance and the discipline of teamwork.

A highlight of the year was the long-awaited stage renovation, which included new LED lighting, a stage extension, and a refreshed backstage area. These upgrades elevated every production, inspired our students, and were made possible by our donors’ generosity.

Being in theatre taught me very different things than what I learned in the classroom… Theatre gave me confidence, creativity, and a toolkit for life.”

Faith Kersey (Class of 2025)

VISUAL ARTS

At SACS, the Visual Arts Department celebrates creativity while honoring the Creator, offering students countless opportunities to explore their God-given gifts. From beginners to advanced artists, courses in 2D and 3D art, digital design, photography, and cinematography inspire expression and skill development. Middle School students enjoy electives ranging from watercolor and printmaking to glass fusing and clay sculpting, while High School artists dive into advanced painting, mixed media, portfolio development, and digital arts. This year, students excelled at the San Antonio Rodeo Western Art Competition and the Visual Arts Scholastic Competition, earning ribbons and recognition. With every brushstroke, sculpture, and lens, our students reflect the creativity of God Himself.

BAND

The SACS Band anchors both school spirit and musical excellence across middle and high school. On Friday nights, whether in the stands or on the field at halftime, the Rock Band energized the crowd and set the tone for the season. The highlight of the year came as the Jazz Band earned its tenth first-place trophy at the St. Mary’s Jazz Festival, an impressive milestone achieved while competing against schools twice our size.

The strength of the band is found in the discipline and character students build through rehearsal and performance. Under the leadership of Mr. David Eskridge, a longtime arranger with the world-renowned soul group Tower of Power, students continue to discover and develop their God-given talent, turning practice into excellence and performance into community celebration.

FISCAL YEAR JULY 1, 2024–JUNE 30, 2025

Investing in our Future.

The generosity of the San Antonio Christian School community is a powerful testimony to God’s faithfulness. During the 2024–2025 school year, families, alumni, faculty, and friends came together in extraordinary ways—fueling our mission, strengthening our foundation, and expanding our reach. From record-breaking giving to joyful community events, the culture of generosity at SACS is thriving. Every gift—large or small—became an instrument of transformation in classrooms, programs, and people. Together, we are shaping an environment where students grow in knowledge, faith, and character, prepared to impact the world for Christ.

2024–2025 Giving Totals

IMPACT HIGHLIGHTS

Generosity this year was felt in tangible ways. The Lion Fund strengthened academics, enhanced security, and invested in technology that supports every classroom. Spring Fling became a night to remember, doubling last year’s impact and rallying families around joyful giving. Alumni reconnected through scholarships, faculty support, and student programs, building bridges across generations. And perhaps most inspiring of all, our own faculty and staff led by example, with nearly 9 out of 10 giving back to the mission they live out each day.

VISION 2030 AND CAMPUS GROWTH

This year marked the early steps toward our next chapter of growth. Leadership began refining the campus master plan and preparing for a capital campaign expected to launch in 2026. Vision 2030, the school’s strategic plan, provides the framework through its four pillars: Spiritual Development, Academic Distinction, Christian Community and Service, and Stewardship of Finances and Facilities. Guided by this plan, upcoming initiatives will expand opportunities through new learning spaces, enhanced fine arts facilities, and upgraded athletic resources. Every step is prayerfully aligned with Vision 2030, ensuring that philanthropy at SACS advances a God-honoring roadmap for the future.

A CULTURE OF KINGDOM IMPACT

Every gift this year has been a testimony to God’s provision. Together, this generosity has strengthened SACS today and laid the foundation for tomorrow. As we look ahead, the Lion Fund will continue to be the heart of giving at SACS, showing how each gift—large or small—directly fuels our mission.

To every family, graduate, faculty member, and friend who gave this year: thank you. Your generosity is shaping lives now and preparing Christ-centered leaders for the future.
