Uniting behind our mission

This has been a year of coming back together and appreciating our community. We are grateful for our donors who helped us through the pandemic, its aftermath and with the growing demands of our community. As we continue to navigate the after-effects on our patients and staff, and strive to expand the geographic areas we serve, this financial support is vital.
Across everything we do for our patients and team, we always put people at the center. Thanks to the generosity of our partners and donors Saban Community Clinic is able to deliver the highest quality care.
46th Annual Dinner Gala
Our 46th Annual Dinner Gala was attended by 250 passionate supporters of Saban Community Clinic. Singer, songwriter, and actress Miley Cyrus introduced our 2022 honoree, Susan Rovner, Chairman, Entertainment Content, NBCUniversal Television and Streaming, who was recognized for her unwavering dedication to our cause. This year, the doctors and staff of Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, partners of the clinic for more than four decades, were honored with the Lenny Somberg award.
Thank you to Rufus Wainwright and Ava Maybee for making it an unforgettable evening.
Engaging the community in our cause
One of our most popular events, our 33rd annual holiday party, brings joy to our community by way of Santa, Spiderman, and dozens of volunteers. At this year’s event, chaired by Marcia Steere, we passed out gifts to more than 350 Saban kids and families.
Last year, 2,150 bags of essential items were distributed to local families, pediatric patients, and our unhoused neighbors. Since 2018, “Assembly Days,” held throughout the year, have engaged hundreds of volunteers in our pursuit of promoting health and wellness in the community beyond the services we provide at the clinic.
This year, backpacks, bags, and kits — including everything from school supplies to healthy lunches and dental care items — were assembled by nearly a dozen participating companies and organizations, including Endeavor, UTA, CAA, Milken, The Center for Early Education, students from UCLA, and our Young Professionals Committee.
Celebrating together and raising critical funds
Over $2.5 million was raised in 2022 to provide vital services at no charge to uninsured clients of the clinic. We could not do this without the tireless support of the Friends of Saban Community Clinic and the donors and volunteers who make every one of our events a sold-out success.
