The task was to define the brand interior style for chain of PARLI shops, that could be applied to every shop in Portugal. Proposed architectural language seeks modern minimalist expression.

The restaurant is located under the staircases leading to the future lounge of Faro Airport. The objective of the concept was to make the restaurant visibly affective and organized when overlooked from any direction - even from the top. The restaurant area was visibly defined by the natural wood color pavement and a volume, constructed from wood boards and painted in white.

Timberland Café Concept Store conceptual proposal The concept is based on the global image of Timberland clothing brand, suggesting the general image that would attract the same client, offering him the aesthetics and philosophy of the brand for enjoying his/her meal. The chosen materials serve as the element of identity, organizing the whole space as well: wood, stone and specific colors used are creating the spaces referring to the natural environments like mountains and life outdoors.

Expresso Kiosk in Lisbon Airport The Kiosk is composed from two volumes, placing all the service areas in the first one - like storage, dishes and the little area for preparation. Along the second volume bar/ café area is developed, connecting directly to the terrace and the counter. The terrace itself is designed in the logical and sensorial continuation of the kiosk, belonging to the unity of whole expresso service block.

House Galé, Albufeira in collaboration with arch. Bernardo Alves

Hotel Estremoz The hotel building is placed in the middle of the site with a priviledged solar exposition, directed to South East and South West, avoiding the dominating wind and the views to the north.

The volume of Casa Galé was shaped to receive all the benefits of sunny weather, creating a direct connection to the existing greenery and surrounding views as well as harmoniously insert itself into the fabric of the pre-existent neighbourhood construction.

House in Estrela, Lisbon Respecting the architectural language of the historical neighbourhood and the existing volume of the house, the renovation concept implied simplification of the interior spaces and vertical connections.

S3 arquitectos moves the office to Campo de Ourique zone in Lisbon

Troia Resort collaboration with arch. Joâo Paciência In the touristic area in the peninsula Troia, this project evokes from the philosophy of sustainability and ecology, presenting 3 housing projects: Golf House, Beach House and Touristic Raw House.

Located in the limit of Lisbon and the city of Almada, this project aims to recover a former wood factory building, into a new function, a night club and lounge, where the sense of diversion and connection to the nature can be more than a slogan.

The aim is thus to retrieve the existing building, re-qualifying them for a new use. Thus will be applied a “skin” supported by tubular plant, which is far from the existing main front around 1.50 m, thus the logical continuation of the environment and where they are located, as well as the improvement and increase in number existing emergency exits.

Competition for Apoio de Praia P30 “Azurinha” Retaurant, Cascais The significant location aside the beach in Cascais needs to follow specific rules given by Urban Commision. The existing building is suggested to be demolished. The new building offers a connection to the beach through the ramp, dividing program area of 500sq.m. into 3 levels, projecting 250 sq.m on the first level including the terrace. Different materials define different functions, joining together into coerent composition with a smell of Mediterranean stylistics.

Hotel Inn in Carqueijais, Portugal in collaboration with arch. João Paciencia The project was developed together with the interior design team, creating the prototype for the renovation of various spaces like lobby and bar, restaurant and the rooms of this historic touristic building in Serra da Estrela mountains.

Sasha Summer Sessions, Portimão

Located in a unique and singular place, the area where this beach restaurant exists, was the target of a restructuring plan for the coastal resort of Praia da Rocha - Portimão, in southern Portugal.

The intervention in this space reflects the “sasha beach” concept, relying on assumptions of “versatility” and “changeability” of physical space, given a sensory game for those who travels and live this space, feeding the senses.

Houses of Castelhana, Cascais The site hosts two pre-existent houses, which suffer from isolation, as they are constructed lower than the street level. The highest point of the lot is on the street side and then it slopes down. The isolation is felt even stronger, as the neighboring buildings are very close to the lot.

2007 Competition for 2nd Terminal of Lisbon Airport

House in StÂŞ Cruz de Benfica The project, respecting Portuguese late modernism, joins the pre-existent building with two new volumes, constructed from contemporary materials, but speaking the language of Modern European architecture, that is ironically framed by the contrast of two contemporary styles together.

Typologically the house maintains 3 sleeping rooms, despite the redistribution. The ground floor embraces the social functions as well as the bathroom and storeroom that are located behind the stairs, giving the shape for the hall.

Milk Gourmet Restaurant, Parque das Nações, Lisbon The references for this Milk Gourmet Restaurant are the old spaces of milk cafés, that are stuck to every portuguese. This time it´s designed in a respond contemporary aesthetics and needs.

The joining element of café and restaurant is the sobriety of materials with different finishings to differentiate the volumes/functions. The interior image is clean

Kinder-garten in Alcantara, Lisbon

Competition for the Restaurant Spaces of “AirTasty”, Sá Carneiro Airport

A proposal presents an open space of the kinder-garten where every volume of activity is defined by curtains, constructing variable geometry embraced by polivalent areas of circulation, eating, exposition and learning.

Located in a restricted area of the Lisbon International Airport, this restaurant aims to position itself as a spatial reference and organizer of the constant flow of people who walk at the airport corridors.

2010 Hotel Belo Horizonte - Bungalows, Ilha do Sal, Cape Verde Situated on Santa Maria beach in Sal Island, Cape Verde, Hotel Belorizonte is one of the first hotel structures in the area, which apart of the main building, has 170 bungalows that will be renewed for this new faze. The proposal wishes to redistribute the bungalow functional areas, ensuring that a new seating area is promoted, which can be used has sleeping area for children.

Artesanal Ice-Cream store “Artisani”, Av.Alvares Cabral, Lisbon Located in a consolidated area of Lisbon city, in the surrounding of the Liceu Pedro Nunes and Jardim-Escola João de Deus, the new ice cream store wishes to respond the needs of a large amount of housing and services located in this area.

Restaurant “Capricciosa”, Cascais The functions originally defined in the three levels that compose the building, will be maintained, keeping the public accesses and service, including the stairway connection between these three levels and the beach.

House in Atalaia, Albufeira

(conceptual proposal) Build on the basis of an area of 30m x 100m with a total 3000m2, we propose a functional program of area(s) with equipment, complemented with support areas for this program, as well as living spaces and contemplation.

Detached villa built in the early 80’s, who after some years of near abandon, is intend to be adjusted to the today`s use, implanted in a plot with exposure to North and Southeast, the last one coinciding with the view of Praia dos Salgados and Armação de Pera.

CTT - flagship store, Parque das Nações, Lisbon The new CTT store has a truly innovative and distinctive concept from other stores. Sustainable awareness, sophisticated and intuitive premises will be flexible on the relationship with the user, providing a set of products and services in automated solutions that seek to meet the convenience and interests of each user.

The transparency existing in the relation with the exterior of the building is significantly enhanced in all three levels, through the translucent glass plans.

Food Court “UniLever” F A sun exposure and privileged setting, allied with the existing plot space, serve to build the new room and kitchen volume, preserving the existing trees, proposing also a forestation near the plot´s boundary wall.

T The initial study area located in the tower A Amoreiras in Lisbon, develops along a line ear path with two hits, one with lift, one in the end and the other only in halfway up the stairs to the service zone that is located at the opposite extreme.
