The unexpected fabric blends such as embedded metallics that create mouldable forms, or nylon that adds functional weatherproofing. New takes on vintage style emerge through 1970’s style plaids, or stripes that nod to the formation of library books. Corduroy returns in thick 11-wale scale as an update for workwear styles. Also, knits become more dimensional with chainette yarns or tubular quilted padding. Inventive engineering creates knitwear that slots together in graphic compositions for an active look.

Since then, resolutions have increased and so has the adoption of such looks. Brands and mills are also creating desired coloured denims or various fabrics in more sustainable ways.
