ACTIVE OLDER ADULTS - FITNESS & ACTIVITIES LIFEGUARD CLASSES: Be a leader, be a lifeguard! American Red Cross certifications offered are based on demand. Visit ryeymca.org/safety to view current offerings. OPEN SWIM AT THE RYE Y

Free for all 62+: No membership required; must sign in at the Member Services Desk. The pool will be open for seniors in the community with 2 lanes available for lap swim, and 2 lanes available for open swim. Monday & Wednesday: 2:45-3:15 pm *Time will vary during special vacation weeks. Members: please check our pool schedule for several additional times in which the the Pa Cope pool is open for aqua jog, water walking, and water stretch.

AQUA FLEX AT THE RYE Y

62+ only – Co-Ed: A low impact water exercise routine focusing on development of core strength, balance, flexibility and coordination. Monday & Friday: 11:00-11:45 am Tuesday & Thursday: 11:00-11:45 am Member: FREE* but must register; Non-Member: $87 Please note that a member will lose his/her spot after missing 2 free classes in a row without notifying instructor. NO ROLLOVER PERMITTED. Registration for Aqua Flex is by our in person lottery registration and not by online registration.

ENHANCE FITNESS

Enhance Fitness is a 16-week evidence-based exercise program that has been shown to improve arthritis, strength, endurance, balance and flexibility, and is recognized by the CDC and other national organizations committed to improving the health and wellness of older adults. Work with a certified instructor for one hour, 3 days a week for 16 weeks. Enhance Fitness can benefit non-seniors as well. Register September 9 - December 30 Monday, Wednesday & Friday: 2:00-3:00pm Member: FREE; Non-Members: $149 Pre-registration required. AQUA FITNESS AT THE OSBORN

Ages 65+: 101 THEALL ROAD, RYE Water exercise set to music. Gentle stretching and moderate aerobic activity. Monday: 10:00-10:45 am Wednesday: 10:00-10:45 am Friday: 10:00-10:45 am Included in Rye Y Membership: Members intending to participate at the Osborn must first call Vickie at ext 108 at the beginning of each calendar year. Limit 45.

FALL PREVENTION DAY

FREE CLASSES -AGES 62+ AT THE WAINWRIGHT HOUSE

FREE for all 62+; No membership/registration required.

GENTLE CHAIR YOGA

Stretch and flex class utilizing basic yoga, Tai-Chi, Pilates (either seated or standing). Monday: 2:00-2:45 pm Wednesday: 11:00-11:45 am Friday: 2:00-2:45 pm

TONE UP

Firm and tone with an energetic, fun class dedicated to increasing your strength and endurance. Tuesday: 1:15-2:00 pm

MOVE AND GROOVE

Class focuses on posture, core strength and balance. All levels. all levels. Thursday: 1:15-2:00 pm

ZUMBA GOLD TONING

Dance to Latin and International music while toning muscles. Friday: 1:00-1:45 pm

CRAFTY CREW

The group meets weekly to work on community or individual craft projects. Past projects included blankets for Warm Up America and Open Door. Special individual projects included: holiday cards, origami flowers and sachets. Please bring knitting needles or crochet hooks -yarn and instruction is available. Tuesday: 12:30 pm - 2:00pm (No meetings in July and August)

MEMBER COFFEE

Join us for a cup of coffee, tea or hot cocoa while you visit with fellow members at the Y. We meet monthly in the Member Lounge. 2nd Wednesday of the month: 10:30-11:30 am Evening coffees TBD (No meetings in July and August)

CANASTA

The Deal, Melds, Wild cards...Are you ready for a game of Canasta? Come join your fellow Y members for some fun! If you don’t know how to play, we’ll teach you! Thursday: 10:30 am - 12:30 pm

MAH JONGG

Join us for a morning of cracks, dots and bams. If you don’t know how to play, we’ll teach you! Friday: 10:30 am - 12:45 pm
