We safely bus all Discovery Campers to the Rye Y to participate in swim lessons daily with a structured recreational swim on Fridays. Instruction is provided through our certified aquatics staff and our trained camp staff. Campers are evaluated on their first day of camp and are placed into the appropriate swim level for their age group. They will have the opportunity to progress through the levels as their abilities improve throughout the summer.

SPECIAL EVENTS, IN HOUSE PERFORMANCES & FIELD TRIPS! Each week we have a new theme to accompany the activities, projects and events we hold at Discovery Camp. From time travel to spending a week under the sea, our goal is to provide a safe, nurturing and engaging environment where our campers learn through DISCOVERY! Pioneers, Scouts, Trailblazers, and Pathfinders go on weekly field trips to an exciting regional destination. Examples of trip destinations include interactive children’s museums, amusement parks and much more! Our Explorers group does not go on field trips, instead, each week, we have a special activity or special guest. On Fridays, we have an ALL CAMP SPECIAL EVENT! From live concerts to circus performances, we do our best to provide a memorable summer experience for our campers.
