Studio 205 is a partnership of 2 talented local artists. Mary Kleis of Dragonfly Studio of Fine Art and Photography creates fused and stained glass art. She paints with oil and acrylic, and does glass torch work as well. Jennifer Forbes of PinkLotus Designs is a glass artist working with fused and stained glass. She also designs and handcrafts jewelry using pearls, crystals and natural stones. They are excited to share their experieces and knowledge in the art of fused glass, stained glass and jewelry design.

Ages 13 and Up In this fun 2 hour class we teach the basics of glass cutting, safety, and use of tools. Create your own fused glass plate using Frit, stringers, and art glass. Students will cut and layer glass to produce a beautiful 3", 4" or 5" square dish/plate. Items will be fired in our kiln after class and will be ready for pickup one week later. Additional pieces may be made and fired for an additional fee of $15-$20 depending on the size. Please note the classroom is located up 2 flights of stairs. The building has no elevator. Fused Glass Pendant / Earrings – Mary Kleis & Jennifer Forbes

Ages 13 and Up In this introductory 2 hour class we teach the basics of glass cutting, safety and use of tools. Students will design their own pendant or pair of earrings using Frit, strayers and dichroic glass. The cost of the class includes either one pendent or a pair of earrings. Earrings will include bails and hooks. Pendants will include a bail. We offer a variety of chains or leather at an extra cost. You may make as many pendants or earrings as time will allow at a cost of $7.00 per pendant or pair of earrings (findings included). Items will be fired in our kiln after class and will be ready for pick-up one week later. Please note the classroom is located up 2 flights of stairs. The building has no elevator. Great idea for a homemade gift! In this "hands-on" class you will learn the cold-process method of making soap by actually creating your own pound of soap to take home. Cold-process soaps are made from natural ingredients and are moisturizing and gentle on your skin. Whether you make it for yourself or give it as a gift, you can choose fragrances and botanicals to make your own unique blend. Wear old clothes. Class fee includes all of your supplies.
