Hauz Kaus

Concept

Inspired from the nature this soothing sitting area surrounds. Giving a roof over this area makes it more productive and used more often than usual since it is one of the connecting points of whole campus , it connects the library, basement , lift , amphitheater and canteen area .Leaf like structure makes a perfect t in the lap of nature .Curved leaves give the illusion of them being in movement creating a surreal experienceexperience for whom so ever uses that space These colored leaves are a perfect mixture of majority of design principles and elements making it suited for that space .

Problems and Requirements :

The OAT doesn't seem to have proper sunshade during the day and no proper lighting at night. OAT is located right next to the library and acts as a connecting point for the lift, amphitheater, basement and canteen area. OAT is visible from almost all the oors above, so disturbing such a view would be a blunder idea since the space has plenty of plants and trees.

Proposal :

As aforementioned, the design idea is to provide tensile ower like installations to the space. Curved petals gives the illusion of them being in movement creating a surreal experience for whomsoever using the space. For ambient light to come into the space, leaf like laminated colored glasses are to be installed beneath the petals. Leaf like structure makes a perfect t in the lap of mother nature. ColoColored leaves are perfect mixture of majority of design principles and elements making it more suited for the space. During night time, lightings will be provided above the petals in tentacle like formation, inspired from hibiscus.
