Chairman’s Column
Dear members,
How is your RV Show season coming along? At the time of writing this message, the provincial and regional RVDAs are in full swing with their retail RV Shows. Everyone has been cautiously optimistic that the shows will be well attended and will bring in new buyers looking to fulfill their RV Lifestyle dream. Our show producers are reporting that the majority of the shows have been well attended, and the general mood is good. Interest in travel has neve been more prevalent and consumers are indeed exploring the different RV options available to them.
Of course, to assist us in marketing the RV Lifestyle, we have the amazing work of Go RVing Canada. Go RVing Canada will be launching its new creative campaign this February. The new campaign continues to build on the “Wildhood” brand by encouraging consumers to get out and reconnect with themselves and their families. The cinematography is outstanding and I’m sure that the ads will resonate with our audience. We are always monitoring how the campaigns drive consumers to our Go RVing Canada website and will report on our findings later this year.

Speaking of data, please check your in-boxes for your link to the 2023 RVDA national compensation survey. We continually hear from our members that this study is a very valuable tool for their dealerships. By participating in this survey, you will have access to provincial and national average monthly and hourly figures by dealership position. We also capture the additional benefits available to staff to create a complete compensation picture. This survey findings can be used to help shape employee compensation as well as evaluate your company’s competitiveness. Only those that participate will receive the final report so make sure you take part in it.
