LaQuelle Mills: Currently I just returned from Dalian, China where I was dancing hip hop in different venues and being an artist. I am also living in New York City where I’m auditioning daily, and I’ve had the opportunity to perform with different dance companies such as Forces of Nature dance theater by Abdel and Dyane Harvey. I’ve also worked with Garth Fagan in Rochester, NY and opened for Diggy Simmons. On other days I’m giving back by teaching dance in Connecticut at Locusts Performing Arts Center. Something that I learned from Marcia P. Hoffman School of the Arts is to always give back. There are so many people and programs that helped me get where I am today and be the young women that I am in my daily life and in my career. Even though there were in-house programs at Ruth Eckerd Hall, I loved that they went into the community, as well, to open doors for those who couldn’t afford to indulge in the arts or who never even experienced dance, music or any other art form. That really stuck with me, and it’s amazing to see where some of those kids are today because of the opportunity that they received.

Jordan Wall: I just started shooting the next season as a series regular on A&E’s The Glades and can proudly call myself a working actor. I still get goosebumps when I think about any of the plays I was a part of at the Marcia P. Hoffman. Each one was so special and exciting. Whether playing a rabbit on a journey to find his ears as a student, or later as an intern writing lyrics to a Beatles song for a quartet of sea creature kids, I experienced so much joy from each performance. Every child should be able to experience that feeling, and re-experience it years later upon reflection.
