Salt Beyoglu, Istanbul (TK)
Il SALT è una istituzione no-profit turca dedicata alla ricerca nei settori della cultura promossa tramite videografia, e allo sviluppo di programmi innovativi per nuove forme di pensiero. Tra le varie attività, si comprende anche la gestione del Centro di Ricerche e Archivi della Banca Ottomana, la banca centrale dell’Impero Ottomano. Il centro SALT di Beyoglu è stato ristrutturato a partire dal 2011, sulla base di un antico complesso residenziale per restituire alla città di Istanbul un polo di attrazione. Oltre alla funzionalità architettonica, il progetto ha visto anche lo studio di una corretta illuminazione tramite l’opera dell’Architetto Jan Van Lierde, che ha curato la luce negli spazi interni ed esterni. Il progetto degli esterni, realizzato con proiettori Tobu a parete di piccole dimensioni, valorizza efficacemente i dettagli essenziali della facciata, e tramite l’impiego di ottiche specifiche si ottiene un effetto di forte intensità. Negli interni, sono utilizzati in vari spazi, compreso ad esempio la sala multifunzione interna all’edificio, i prodotti a LED della serie Hide che permettono la creazione di un’illuminazione omogenea nascondendo completamente l’apparecchio luminoso, trasformando la luce emessa nel solo protagonista reale della scena. In particolare, il prodotto Hide viene adattato alle varie tipologie di soffitto esistenti nell’edificio, cartongesso o struttura tipo Armstrong, tramite specifici accessori di montaggio.

The SALT is a non-profit institution dedicated to research in the fields of Turkish culture promoted through videography, and the development of innovative programs to new ways of thinking. Among other activities, it also includes the management of the Centre for Research and Archives of the Ottoman Bank, the central bank of the Ottoman Empire. The center of SALT Beyoglu was renovated starting from 2011, on the basis of an old apartment complex to return to the city of Istanbul a center of attraction. In addition to the architectural features, the project also saw the study of proper lighting through the work of the architect Jan Van Lierde, who worked on the light in the interior and exterior spaces. The design of the exterior, realized with projectors Tobu wall of small dimensions, effectively enhances the essential details of the facade, and through the use of specific optical effect gets strong intensity. Inside, LED products of the series Hide are used in various areas, including for example the multi-purpose hall inside the building, that allow the creation of an even completely hidden luminaire, turning the light emitted in the only real protagonist of the scene. In particular, the product Hide is adapted to the various types of existing building ceiling, drywall or structure type Armstrong, through specific mounting accessories.
