Narok County Hosts Rift Valley Regional Prisons Athletics Championships

The annual regional prisons athletics championships were held recently at the William Ole Ntimama Stadium in Narok. The games include athletics and field events such as volleyball, darts, discus and javelin.

In contention are athletes from prisons – both main and women facilities – in Narok, Eldama-Ravine, Kericho, Kitale, Tambach, Nyandarua, Laikipia, El- doret and Nakuru. The winners will represent the region in the national finals in Nairobi later in the year.

In attendance were County Executive in charge of Sports Robert Simwoto, DCC Narok Central Andi Ali, Regional Commander Aggrey Onyango, host SSP Benson Lomeri, Narok Main Prison CIP Julius Saitoti and prison leadership from all the participating prisons.
