Chocolate Chip Cookies

Makes 12 - 20 mins prep, 12 mins cooking

Ingredients:

- 110g salted butter, melted

- 150g light brown sugar

- 50g caster sugar

- 1 egg - 200g plain flour

- ½ teaspoon baking powder

- ½ teaspoon bicarb

- 200g dark or milk chocolate chopped

Instructions:

- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees/160 fan/gas mark 4 and line 2 baking trays.

- Melt the butter in a pan or in the microwave.

- Measure out the dry ingredients - plain flour, baking powder and bicarb into a bowl.

- Measure out the sugar into a large bowl and add the melted butter to it, mix with a wooden spoon until combined.

- Add the egg to the mix.

- Next, sieve in the dry ingredients in and stir.

- Add in the chocolate and mix again.

- Put the dough in the fridge for 15 mins

- Using a spoon, make the balls of dough and put them on the baking trays, making sure they are not too close to each other.

- Bake for 12 minutes, then take them out leaving them for a bit to firm up, then you can place them on a wire rack to fully cool.
