For over a decade SCOTT engineers have designed suspension systems that provide the rider with command of their bike’s attitude on the trail. The first Traction Control (TC) systems offered a revolutionary three-mode system that controlled the rear suspension and consequent geometry, or attitude, of the bicycle with a handlebar mounted switch. Continuing the legacy of allowing the rider to choose which mode was best for the current trail conditions, as opposed to “smart” suspension systems that are SUPPOSED to do that for you, we developed the TwinLoc system which paired the front and rear suspension and two unique travel modes with distinct geometry for each. TwinLoc once again offered total control of suspension via an easily accessed handlebar-mounted switch. To distinguish our NUDE technology and to gain acceptance in the consumer market, we formed a strategic partnership with FOX to implement these unique SCOTT technologies into a proven damper. For the latest iteration of suspension technology, we again partnered with FOX to develop the FOX NUDE DPS rear shock with Traction Control. Three modes, True Lockout, Traction Control and Descend, are all powered by a FOX damper to create the highest quality, most fully developed suspension system on the planet.

FOX EVOL AIR SLEEVE
The NEW NUDE DPS, with its dual piston system is FOX’s best XC/Trail shock to date. It has superior bump and rebound control and tunability, along with wide range lever adjust with a firmer climbing platform. Much like with the FIT4 Damper, the open mode is adjustable. We worked with FOX to make this not only the best XC/Trail shock to date, but to make it the best SCOTT optimized XC/Trail shock to date. What makes the NUDE DPS better than the Float DPS? The answer lies in our unique Traction Mode and Travel adjust which allows for on the fly travel and geometry adjustment.
An option for the NUDE DPS is the EVOL Air Sleeve. Originally raced under prototype RAD air shocks at the Leogang World Cup in 2012, the new production EVOL features negative air volume to enhance your NUDE ride. EVOL significantly reduces the force to initiate travel, providing excellent small bump performance. The System is also more linear in its progression, offering improved mid-stroke support and better bottom out resistance. The EVOL Air Sleeve is featured on all Genius, Genius LT, Genius PLUS and Genius LT PLUS Models.
The FOX NUDE DPS shock has three modes: 1. Descend = Full air volume, supple damping 2. Traction Control = Reduced volume, travel and geometry change, increased damping 3. Lockout = Reduced volume with locked out damping
NEW FIT4 DAMPER The FIT4 Damper is the result of 10 years of refinement from FOX. It was designed to be lighter than its predecessor, and to have increased flow for higher fidelity adjustments. Three modes, Open, Medium and Firm and a wide range low-speed compression adjuster in the open mode lead to unmatched versatility on the trail. Throw in superior rebound performance and you’ve got a damper that is in a league of it’s own. We worked with FOX to build forks with damping that matched our shocks. All Spark, Genius, Genius LT and PLUS models offer mode sensitive damping that work with our TwinLoc lever, allowing you switch from mode to mode with a flick of the thumb.

NEW FLOAT AIR SPRING FOR 2016, FOX has released a new Float Air Spring. This new Self-Equalizing air negative spring offers smoother performance with reduced friction, quiet performance and is lighter than its predecessor. Additionally, you can clip volume spacers onto the top cap to allow for fine tuning of the air spring compression ratio. Forks featuring this air spring come equipped with appropriate volume spacers matched for each chasis.
