ART EDITOR Having previous experience in redesigning magazines, I was hired full-time to redesign HORSE as well as train and supervise fellow colleagues. I also commissioned freelancers, rode horses and worked with an awesomely horsey team.

ART DIRECTOR This was a short-term contract to redesign one of Handelsblatt’s flagship titles in Germany. I also commissioned photographers and illustrators, supervised production and adapted to the culture as well as learn the language.

MARKETING WEEK MAGAZINE 1997-1999 CENTAUR, LONDON, UK

ART EDITOR I took on the full-time job to revamp the front cover so it would jump off the news stands as well as create stunning page layouts. I also commissioned freelancers, photographers and illustrators as well as sourced picture libraries and helped to establish an in-house picture desk. These initiatives helped to significantly increase subscriptions.

DESIGNER I worked freelance producing material for the marketing department as well as on page layouts for TIME. Art Directors, Gary Lonergan and Paul Lussier, were my mentors.

FREELANCE FROM MILWAUKEE, WI TO NEW YORK, NY Throughout this time I freelanced, working on various design projects such as brochures for the Milwaukee Parks, assistance with food photography for West Bend and designing menus for a Jewish Restaurant until I made the move to New York. Once there, I took up a full-time position with Dewey Ballentine, a law library, but continued to freelance for a variety of design studios.

STUDENT WITH APPRENTICESHIP My four year bachelor’s degree of Fine Art in Graphic Design included subjects such as Design, Typography, Photography, Illustration, Architecture, Figure Drawing and as well as English, Psychology, History and Art History. As a result of my high grades, I was awarded an apprenticeship working with a design studio as part of my course work.

CAMPAIGNER Using my organisation and communication skills, I helped to create awareness to save the bus services which were due to be cut. The positive result though, was only made possible due to the persistance of the local people, MPs, parish councillors and the local newspaper. My interest in the local community continues.

VOLUNTEER I volunteer with anything that the school needs within my time-frame. This includes setting up a lemonade stand with our family at the summer fair, helping out at Christmas or submitting marketing ideas to promote the school.
