Responsibilities of the Gilbert Gateway Towne Center Security Staff: 1. To patrol all common areas, enforce center regulations, maintain a visible presence and keep a constant watch for persons committing or preparing to commit a crime. 2. To assist all customers and visitors at Gilbert Gateway Towne Center with directions and information. 3. To administer minor first aid. Incidents requiring Emergency Medical Aid will be handled by the Town of Gilbert Fire Department (911). 4. To conduct evening checks of all front doors. Managers will be notified of unsecured doors. 5. To report all occurrences of maintenance operational failures, hazards or vandalism to Gilbert Gateway Towne Center Management. 6. To provide escorts to employees and customers upon request.
Security Officers responding to calls regarding shoplifters inside a store will inform the Store Manager to call the Town of Gilbert Police Department if an arrest is to be made. Remember that 911 is for emergency use only; dial the Town of Gilbert Police Department at 480.503.6500 for non-emergency matters. Gilbert Gateway Towne Center Security Officers will remain in the store as an observer and keep the peace until the police arrive, leaving the investigation to the police officers and store personnel.
