Health Systems in Fragile and Conflict-affected Environments Analysing Disrupted Health Systems in Countries in Crisis 16 – 27 August 2021 in Amsterdam (4 EC) € 2,060 (tropEd € 1,650), eligible for OKP € 1,750 (Early Bird: if payment made before 1 May 2021) Protracted crises have several severe impacts on health and health systems. Understanding the context and these impacts will help find ways for improvement. This course provides participants with an approach to analyse disrupted health systems, both looking at key challenges as well as opportunities for addressing the main weaknesses. The course makes extensive use of case studies, learning from successes and failures from countries in crises. Participants will also analyse the international aid system in these contexts and formulate recommendations for adequate health sector recovery strategies.

E-learning: Rebuilding Disrupted Health Systems - Developing Context-Specific Strategies for Health Care Policies, Implementation and Governance 29 March – 18 June 2021 (5 EC) € 1,980 (tropEd € 1,580), eligible for OKP € 1,840 (Early bird: if payment made before 1 February 2021) This e-learning course strengthens your ability to address health system challenges in complex emergencies and fragile states. To prepare you for improving these challenging situations we will analyse health system policies, politics, roles and strategies of key actors, and human rights policies. This will enable you to develop contextspecific strategies for rebuilding disrupted health systems. This is a part-time programme which takes approximately 12.5 hours of online study per week. This e-learning course is especially interesting if you want to develop your professional skills, but you cannot leave your job or home for extended periods of time.
