The House Structure

All children in the Junior School belong to one of four Houses - Canterbury, Durham, Exeter and York.

Each House is a “vertical slice” of the school which provides exciting opportunities for collaboration, competition and team spirit in all aspects of the curriculum as well as providing opportunities to develop and use our Russell Powers and Moral Compass. Each House has approximately equal numbers from each year group. Siblings will be placed in the same House.

The children are very well motivated by the House system and are keen to participate in the competition it encourages. There are exciting competitions between the Houses in many areas throughout the year, including competitions in sports, drama, maths, games and music.
