Royal Commission Update At Royal Rehab, we strongly believe in protecting the people we serve and their right to feel safe and valued. We are committed to providing quality care for people with disability. Royal Rehab is fully supportive of the Royal Commission into Violence, Abuse, Neglect and Exploitation of People with Disability and its important work.
What is the Disability Royal Commission? In April 2019, the Disability Royal Commission was created to provide recommendations on how to prevent and better protect people with

disability from experiencing violence, abuse, neglect, and exploitation. During the Royal Commission, people with disability can share their experiences. This can be done by writing to the Royal Commission or by speaking to the Royal Commission. This is called making a submission. The Royal Commission is now seeking information about experiences of people with disability during the recent emergencies in Australia, such as the COVID-19 pandemic, to improve safety and wellbeing. The Royal Commission particularly wants to hear from people with disability from First Nations and ethnic communities, women, children, and young people and LGBTQI+ people.
