We have had lots of online events over the past few months, which have all been successful.

I would like to thank Dave Peckham ARPS for his inspiring talk on how he achieved his ARPS, titled ‘An Eye for an Eye’, Antony Topham on his talk about ‘HDR using Snapseed’ and a big thank you David Ashcroft LRPS for his interesting and creative talk on ‘Infrared Photography’. With lockdown restriction easing we may be able to organise face to face meetings and photo walks soon. I would like to thank you all for your continued support during the Pandemic and supporting the Southern Region with its online events. I would like to take this opportunity to briefly talk about Project “Frontiers”. The project is called “Frontiers” because it should serve to explore often overlooked subjects, to look at geographical boundaries and help overcome personal boundaries. The project is open for all RPS UK Regions and Special Interest Groups. Please see page 15 for the project description and brief. This is an exciting and a new opportunity for everyone to participate. The event is on our website https://rps.org/regions/southern/ I will be holding Zoom meetings, where I will be discussing the project and ideas with all the participants and provide support if needed. This is a free event, however it has to be booked via the website. Please see the website for full details.

We are currently in the process of organising more events and workshops, please do keep an eye on the Southern Region website.

Welcome
