Application Process

Our audition process has been designed in accordance with what is typically expected at a Drama school audition. Drama applicants will be asked to prepare and perform two contrasting dramatic monologues of their own choice.

Applicants for Year 12 entry should also prepare a short song, to be sung acapella.

Candidates are expected to exhibit a good knowledge of each chosen play and the characters they are playing and be prepared to discuss their interpretation as part of the interview process. No monologue should last longer than two minutes.

Applicants are expected to attend extra-curricular drama activities outside their normal curriculum drama lessons and evidence this in their application form. They should also show evidence in their interview of experience of live and/ or recorded theatre performances which they have attended.
