Welcome

A Letter from President Tim Navone and Director of Advancement Jacqueline Tobe

Dear Marin Catholic Families, Alumni and Friends,

We hope you are enjoying a wonderful Fall with your families. Last summer MC was busy constructing our new science biology labs. This was phase one of a two-phase science renovation, creating more space for our life science studies by updating three classrooms in our science wing. We look forward to modernizing and upgrading all of our science facilities and classrooms to meet the needs of our students as we prepare them for college and beyond.

Another big change is the adoption of our new school motto, Duc In Altum, which comes from Luke’s Gospel. Replacing the old pillars of Faith, Knowledge, Service, Duc In Altum is Latin for “put out into deep water.” These were Jesus’ words to Peter just before his nets began to overflow and he became a “fisher of men.” We hope each student learns how to trust in God and cast out into the deep--spiritually, academically, artistically, athletically … and in return have their nets filled beyond what they could imagine.

While change is always afoot, what remains the same is the strength of the Marin Catholic mission and our community. While the ground ahead is always unknown, faith and prayer accompany us, knowing our Wildcat spirit will lead us through.

As you turn the pages, please join me in celebrating our 2021-2022 fiscal year donors (July 1, 2021- June 30, 2022). On behalf of our students, faculty and staff, Board of Regents, and the entire Marin Catholic community, thank you for your generosity!

God bless,

Tim Navone President Jacqueline Tobe ‘01 Director of Advancement
