Celebrating the Class of 2022

Marin Catholic’s Baccalaureate Mass and Graduation Ceremony in honor of the Class of 2022 took place on Saturday, June 2 at the Cathedral of Saint Mary of the Assumption in San Francisco. Father Andrew Ginter, Chaplain for Marin Catholic gave a very thoughtful homily to the graduates and their families. He spoke about their graduation day being a time of Thanksgiving. Thanking God and their families for everything they have received during their time at MC. He also spoke about how this is a time when “everything comes to fruition.” Everything they have been working so hard to achieve is finally realized. He talked about loving the fact that students return back to MC every year, and he encouraged these students to do the same. They are a part of this MC community now and forever, and to never forget that this is their home, a place they can always return to. Fr. Ginter spoke of a recent ordination he had been to for Fr. Isaiah, and he mentioned that the bishop at that mass had quoted Michelangelo as saying, “ The greatest danger for most of us is not that our aim is too high and we miss it, but that it is too low and we reach it.” Father reminded the students to aim high and challenged them that God has asked us to do great things. Finally, Fr. Ginter reminded the students of their yearbook theme, Back to Our Roots, and how it related to the gospel verse of “I am the vine, and you are the branches”. He advised the students that they are the branches and they are loved. He wished them well, and encouraged them to continue to learn, to never forget that everything is possible with God and that MC will always be their home.

Presenting the 189 diplomas were President Tim Navone and Principal Chris Valdez.
