TheChamberservesasafundamentalpartofthiscommunitywithnumerousprograms designedtoenhancethegeneralwelfareandprosperityofRowlettanditscitizensby promotingsteadyandbalancedeconomicwell-beingwithinourcommunity.Servingasthe voiceofthebusinesscommunity,theChamberworkstoaccomplishwhatnoindividualor singlebusinesscandoalone.

The Rowlett Area Chamber plays a lead advocacy role as the voice of business and a and a convenor of community members, leaders, and influencers to to create the type of region in which people wish to live, work, and play. We recognize that our business owners, managers, and associates are busy running their businesses. We appreciate the fact that they’ve “hired” the Chamber to work on their behalf. During that work, we ’ ve influenced the community in a positive way, and we ’ ve driven new investment, business growth, and community prosperity. Traditionally the Chamber has been expected to be the “voice of business ” Our ability to meet this expectation depends on several factors – the willingness of our members to bring their issues forward, their perception of our ability to make their issues known to the appropriate level of government, and the willingness of the government to deal with these issues. We will need to develop an effective communications mechanism that will ensure these issues flow effectively between our members and policymakers.
