In January 2012, I joined Summit Bank as President of the Okaloosa County market. My recent experience included managing a team of commercial lenders as well as managing substantial loan and deposit portfolios for my clients. HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR BANKING PHILOSOPHY? Relationship banking, pure and simple. I like to establish a long relationship with a client. I want my clients to think of me for all of their financial needs. HOW DO YOU MEASURE SUCCESS IN YOUR BUSINESS OR PROFESSION? Client satisfaction and loyalty. I have some clients who are still with me from years ago when I first entered banking. ANY NEW PRACTICES, TECHNOLOGIES, OR SYSTEMS IN YOUR BUSINESS? Clients rely on technology more and more and Summit Bank stays well ahead of the curve. Our Summit Mobile App is very popular. And, with over 200 commercial remote capture terminals in use by our clients, over 60% of our deposited items are processed electronically. FAMILY? My elegant and smart wife, Gail (who is also a banker), and my two beautiful daughters, Jessi and Jodie. YOUR OUTSIDE INTERESTS? My daughters are both dancers and compete with the sport. (Yes, dance is a sport!) I love to travel with them to their different competitions.

HAS YOUR BUSINESS OR PRACTICE EXPANDED RECENTLY? IN WHAT WAY? I was part of Summit Bank’s transition team when the former Premier Community Bank of the Emerald Coast was converted to Summit Bank in May, 2012. (The FDIC appointed Summit as receiver of the failed bank in Dec. 2011). That one move more than doubled our size and bolstered our customer base along the Emerald Coast.
