La Storia Guerciotti è un’azienda storica nel ciclismo, che si appresta a festeggiare i 50 anni di attività. Una storia singolare, avvincente, iniziata nel 1964, quando Italo, noto ed esperto ciclocrossista azzurro, decide con il fratello Paolo di aprire un piccolo negozio di 20 mq per la vendita e la riparazione delle biciclette in via Petrella 4 a Milano. Da quel momento la stella Guerciotti ha iniziato la sua escalation nel ciclismo, conquistando importanti successi commerciali e sportivi. Nella propria storia le bici Guerciotti hanno conquistato numerosi successi, tra cui svariate tappe al giro d’Italia e corse simbolo del panorama ciclistico internazionale come la Tirreno Adriatico e la Freccia Vallone, il Giro d’Italia femminile e svariati campionati nazionali in campo professionistico. Nel Ciclocross, disciplina di cui ne è regina, l’azienda Guerciotti ha conquistato ben 10 titoli mondiali e circa quaranta titoli nazionali in tutte le categorie. In sella alle bici da ciclocross Guerciotti hanno pedalato i grandi di questo sport: Roland Liboton, Mike Kluge, Vito Ditano e Daniele Pontoni. È grazie alla collaborazione con questi team professionistici di alto livello che Guerciotti ha realizzato prodotti sempre più all’avanguardia sia dal punto di vista tecnologico che dal punto di vista del design. Quindi, successi sportivi che hanno portato poi anche successi commerciali in cui Guerciotti ha visto la sua espansione anche in mercati extra-europei come gli USA ed, oggi, in Asia. L’ultimo decennio ha rappresentato il vero giro di boa per l’azienda milanese. The History Guerciotti is a legendary cycling company about to celebrate its 50th anniversary. A unique, winning history that began in 1964 when Italy, famous and expert Italian cyclo-cross racer, decided to open a small 20 square metre store with his brother Paolo to sell and repair bicycles in Via Petrella 4 in Milan. Since then, the Guerciotti star began its ascent in cycling, achieving significant sales and sports success. In its history, Guerciotti bicycles have achieved numerous successes including various stage Giro d’Italia and iconic international races such as the Tirreno Adriatico and the Freccia Vallone, the women’s Giro d’Italia and other national professional championships. In Cyclo-cross, the discipline it dominates, the Guerciotti company has won 10 world titles and about forty national titles in all categories. Champions of this sport have ridden to victory on Guerciotti cyclocross bikes: Roland Liboton, Mike Kluge, Vito Ditano and Daniele Pontoni. Questo mercato rappresenta attualmente per l’azienda il primo canale di vendita dove la domanda del vero Made in italy è sempre più forte, dove Guerciotti crede ed investe costantemente perché è un diritto di tutti gli appassionati avere una vera e propria bicicletta su misura. Quest’anno sono presenti due modelli di telai, ECLIPSE 769 e ECLIPSE PLUS che rappresentano il top, prodotti unici per tutti gli amanti della qualità e reso possibile grazie al progetto NO LIMIT CARBON ENGINEERING, nato nel 2011, e che ogni anno permette di introdurre sul mercato nuovi prodotti che rispondono alle crescenti richieste a cui l’Azienda è molto attenta. NO LIMIT CARBON ENGINEERING fonda le sue basi proprio sulle caratteristiche dei materiali compositi. Il carbonio ha in sé tutte le caratteristiche fisiche e meccaniche necessarie per ottimizzare in un telaio da corsa le doti primarie che lo stesso deve possedere: leggerezza, comfort, rigidità torsionale e reattività estrema. Partendo da questo concetto base, NO LIMIT CARBON ENGINEERING è un progetto che punta alla realizzazione di nuovi prodotti, seguendo i necessari presupposti tecnici, tra cui la resistenza nel tempo, in modo da garantire la massima resa meccanica e garanzia di un risultato valido. Tutti hanno definito la tecnologia monoscocca come la sola per poter ottenere la maggior leggerezza e la maggior rigidità per un telaio. NO LIMIT CARBON ENGINEERING è nato però per rompere queste barriere e per andare oltre. Per ottenere un telaio sempre più leggero, ma ancor più sicuro e affidabile. Il peso ha sempre rappresentato il maggior limite dei telai fasciati. Soluzioni di questo tipo sono sempre risultate più pesanti rispetto a telai monoscocca di gamma equivalente. Il monoscoccca è sempre stato visto dal mercato come l’unica soluzione per l’altissimo di gamma. Ma questo accadeva in passato, ora con NO LIMIT CARBON ENGINEERING tutto ciò è sorpassato e tutte le massime caratteristiche che si potevano ottenere da un telaio monoscocca oggi si possono ottenere con la tecnologia del fasciato e sono disponibili a tutti con Elicpse 769 ed Eclipse Plus. Il progetto NO LIMIT CARBON ENGINEERING è stato concepito nel 2008 quando Guerciotti è tornata a giocare un ruolo da protagonista al Giro d’Italia con Gilberto Simoni. Le sfide a puntare a traguardi sempre più ambiziosi ha contribuito a sviluppare una serie di progetti di cui il Simoni Replica 2008 era solo un embrione. Michele Scarponi nel 2010, giungendo 4° al Giro d’Italia (vincendo la tappa regina dell’Aprica) ha rappresentato l’ultimo vero test per poter dar vita a questo progetto finale, nella passata collezione 2011. Eclipse aveva rappresentato la principale novità della gamma 2011 (ed il primo importante prodotto creato dal progetto NO LIMIT CARBON ENGINEERING) ed in questa gamma 2013 ha trovato la massima evoluzione con Eclipse 769. Con questo nuovo modello si è riusciti a superare anche un limite del precedente modello: oggi Eclipse 769 – dopo numerosi prototipi, prove e test di resistenza – è disponibile anche per cambio elettronico DI2 e EPS, ciò che non era possibile prima con Eclipse per non indebolire un telaio già leggero. L’intera famiglia di prodotti Eclipse rappresenta tutti i punti cardine del progetto NO LIMIT CARBON ENGINEERING: scelta della migliore materia prima, innovativa tecnologia di produzione, design e qualità italiana, rigorosi test e controllo qualità.
NO LIMIT CARBON ENGINEERING bases its foundation on its own characteristics of composite materials. The carbon has all the features needed to optimize physical and mechanical properties in a racing frame and the primary qualities that must have lightness, comfort, responsiveness and extreme torsional stiffness. Starting from this basic concept, NO LIMIT CARBON ENGINEERING is a project that points to the creation of new products, following the necessary technical assumptions, between which the resistance over time, so as to ensure maximum mechanical performance and guarantee a valid result. All have defined the monocoque technology as the sole in order to obtain greater lightness and the greater rigidity for a frame. NO LIMIT CARBON ENGINEERING is born, however, to break these barriers and go beyond. To create a frame more lightweight, but even more safe and reliable. The weight has always been the major limitation of the wrapped frames. Solutions of this type are always found to be heavier than monocoque frames of the equivalent range. The monocoque has always been seen by the market as the only solution for the high range. But this happened in the past, now with NO LIMIT CARBON ENGINEERING everything is old and all major features that you could get from a monocoque frame can be achieved with today’s technology and are available to all bandaged with Elicpse 769 and Eclipse Plus. The project NO LIMIT CARBON ENGINEERING was conceived in 2008 when Guerciotti returned to play a leading role in the Tour of Italy with Gilberto Simoni. The challenges to get goals always more ambitious has helped to develop a series of projects listed in the 2008 Replica Simoni was just an embryo. Michele Scarponi in 2010, arriving at 4° Tour of Italy (winning the stage of Aprica) represented the last real test in order to create this final project, passed in the 2011 collection. Eclipse had been the main news in the 2011 range (and the first major product created by the project NO LIMIT CARBON ENGINEERING) and in this 2013 range it has found the highest evolution with Eclipse 769. With this new model it has managed to overcome a limitation of the previous model: Eclipse 769 today - after several prototypes, tests and endurance tests - is also available for electronic gear DI2 and EPS, which was not possible before with Eclipse for not weaken an already lightweight frameset. The entire Eclipse product family represents all the key points of the draft NO LIMIT CARBON ENGINEERING: choosing the best raw materials, innovative manufacturing technology, Italian design and quality, rigorous testing and quality control.

Il progetto NO LIMIT CARBON ENGINEERING introduce un innnovativo sistema di fasciatura chiamato LIGHTNESS WRAPPED CARBON TECHNOLOGY, con il quale diventa fondamentale il posizionamento delle pelli, che è molto importante per dare le principali caratteristiche meccaniche al telaio. Le pelli vengono sovrapposte in modo da orientare più filamenti lungo le linee di sollecitazione. Infatti, intrecci e sovrapposizioni delle pelli in carbonio permettono di modificare il rendimento meccanico della struttura e di alcune parti di esse. Elemento fondamentale è rappresentato dall’estetica. Con questo nuovo sistema di fasciatura, si ottiene un telaio che esteticamente è come un monoscocca, senza più avere visibili i segni della lavorazione. L’estetica così ben fatta è frutto di un laborioso e metodico sistema totalmente fatto a mano unito ad un particolare ed esclusivo procedimento di resinatura. The NO LIMIT CARBON ENGINEERING project introduce and innovating wrapping system called LIGHTNESS WRAPPED CARBON TECHNOLOGY with which the positioning of carbon fiber skins assumes an essential role, as this is very important to give the frame its main mechanical chracteristics. The skins are superimposed so as to orientate more filaments along the stress lines. In fact, by interweaving and superimposing carbon fiber skins it is possible to modify the mechanical efficiency of the structure and of some of its parts. Appearance represents an important element. With this new wrapping system it is possible to obtain a frame which is aesthetically is like a monocoque, no longer showing any working marks. Such a remarkable appearance is the result of an arduous and methodical system, completely hand made, combined with a particular and exclusive resin tapping process.
Il CLS CARBON DESIGN (Comfort-Lightness-Stiffness) è il sistema ideato da Guerciotti per lo studio del miglior design tale da aumentare le perfomance del telaio nelle parti più delicate ed importanti. Elementi fondamentali per un telaio di altissima gamma sono appunto il comfort nella guida associato comunque a leggerezza e rigidità. L’obiettivo è infatti avere il più alto rapporto tra queste tre componenti. La realizzazione del particolare design dei posteriori verticali del modello Eclipse 769, Eclipse Plus, Eureka EVO ed Eureka è stato appunto studiato per conferire comfort, rigidità e leggerezza. La nervatura all’interno dei posteriori orizzontali di Eclipse 769 ed Eclipse Plus servono a dare ulteriore resistenza a compressione e trazione al fodero, che si traduce in maggiore rigidità. The CLS CARBON DESIGN (Comfort-Lightness-Stiffness) is the system created by Guerciotti which represents the study of the best design to increase the efficiency of the frame in its more delicate and important parts. In fact, the fundamental elements of a top of the range frame are the riding comfort associated in any case to lightness and stiffness. The goal is to obtain the best ratio between these three elements. The particular design of the seat stays of the Eclipse 769, Eclipse Plus, Eureka EVO and Eureka models was realized on the basis of the study aimed for giving comfort, lightness and stiffness. The ribbing inside the chain stays of Eclipse 769 and Eclipse Plus serves to convey greater resistance to compression and traction to the sheath who brings a greater stiffness.
Nei modelli Eclipse 769 ed Eclipse Plus è utilizzato un innovativo sistema di forcellini integrati. I forcellini sono in carbonio ed escono dallo stampo integrati al carro, non sono quindi incollati, mentre vengono fissati ai verticali mediante fasciatura. Agli stessi forcellini sono fissate delle placchette di protezione in alluminio anodizzate e quella destra fa anche da attacco cambio. In caso di caduta la sua particolare forma a forchetta riduce al minimo i casi in cui è necessaria la sua sostituzione, che resta comunque molto semplice. The new system of integrated drop-outs has been adopted for the models Eclipse 769 and Eclipse Plus. The drop-outs are made in carbon filber and they come out from the mould already interegrated in the rear/chainstay. They are therefore not glued but fixed to the vertical tubes by wrapping. Small protection plats in anodized aluminium are mounted on the drop-outs and the right drop-out is used to mount the gear. Its particular fork shape reduces to the bare minimum the need for its replacement in case of fall. The replacement, in any case, is extremely simple.
Anche per questa stagione 2013 Guerciotti mostra di essere sempre in movimento alla ricerca di nuove idee e prodotti che possano soddisfare gli attuali bisogni dei consumatori e per crearne di nuovi. Dei numerosi progetti in cantiere nel reparto R&D Guerciotti, solo alcuni prendono forma e concretezza ogni anno. Questi sono i prodotti che sono stati testati per tutto un anno (o anche di più) in completa segretezza, grazie all’aiuto dei propri ingegneri e dei propri atleti, che rappresentano l’ultimo ed il vero test per la decisone finale di immettere un prodotto sul mercato. Solo quando un nuovo prodotto è pronto e sicuro al 100% può essere presentato e poi reso disponibile al pubblico. E lo è stato anche quest’anno per il fiore all’occhiello della gamma 2013: Eclipse 769. Dopo un intero anno di lavoro e di test, Eclipse 769 ha fatto il suo esordio in occasione dei campionati italiani professionisti con un tester d’eccezione: Davide Rebellin. Rebellin ha aiutato Guerciotti a perfezionare alcuni aspetti che solo l’utilizzo estremo da parte di un professionista può migliorare. Grazie a questo lavoro in team, Eclipse 769 è oggi disponibile in tutta la sua perfezione per solcare le strade di tutto il mondo. Ma test e nuove ricerche vengono effettuate anche su prodotti già presenti in gamma, poiché Guerciotti si pone l’obiettivo di migliorarsi e migliorare ogni anno. Questo perché da un anno all’altro possono essere disponibili tecnologie, soluzioni tecniche e bisogni del consumatore non presenti l’anno prima. E questo è il caso dell’Eureka EVO, evoluzione del modello Eureka. Nella versione 2013 Guerciotti ha inserito degli upgraded sia a livello tecnico che soluzioni a livello di design per rispondere alle nuove esigenze del mercato. Sfruttando gli stessi materiali, ma con alcune modifiche a livello di produzione Eureka EVO si presenta più leggero del precedente modello, e grazie al CLS CARBON DESIGN, il 10% più rigido e con la compatibilità per gruppi meccanici ed elettronici. Dal punto di vista estetico Eureka EVO si presenta interamente con la soluzione dei cavi interni, senza intaccare il peso del telaio nel suo complesso. Anche per il nuovo modello Lunar 2013 si è seguito lo stesso percorso di Eclipse 769, il cui progetto è stato partorito ben un anno e mezzo prima. Numerosi test in laboratorio ed in galleria del vento sono stati effettuati per ottenere il miglior prodotto possibile, seguiti da test sulla strada per ottenere le migliori prestazioni. Con il nuovo Lunar, disponibile in versione specifica anche per Thriathlon e pista, Guerciotti con questa nuova gamma 2013 esplora in modo più specifico questi due mercati con prodotti specifici di alta gamma. Il mercato Thriathlon che, anche per Guerciotti, rappresenta un mercato sempre più in espansione, ha creato l’esigenza di presentare una gamma più completa, anche in alluminio. È da questo bisogno che sono nati anche i prodotti CRUX TT e, in contemporanea, CRUX TRACK. CRUX TT è stato realizzato sviluppando le idee degli ingegneri del reparto R&D Guerciotti, in rispetto alle regolamentazioni UCI per le gare a cronometro e puntando a soddsifare le reali esigenze degli utilizzatori del Thriathlon. Il design (esempio i forcellini posteriori) e le geometrie finali sono state disegnate e realizzate per ottimizzare il posizionamento della ruota e per ridurre l’impatto frontale aerodinamico. Entrambi i prodotti CRUX TT e CRUX TRACK sono stati realizzati anche puntando all’obiettivo di ottenere un ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo. Nel prossimo futuro questi rappresenteranno due mercati in cui Guerciotti è intenzionata ad essere sempre più presente.
Even for the 2013 season, Guerciotti continues its momentum in search of new ideas and products that can meet current consumer needs and create new ones. Of the numerous projects under construction in the Guerciotti R&D department, only some take shape and materialise each year. These are products that have been tested for a full year (or even more) in total secrecy, thanks to the help of its engineers and athletes, representing the last and true test before the final decision to introduce a product on the market. Only when a new product is 100% ready and safe can it be presented and made available to the public. And this was the case this year for the pride and joy of the 2013 range: Eclipse 769. After a full year of work and tests, the Eclipse 769 made its debut at the Italian professional championships with an exceptional tester: Davide Rebellin. Rebellin as helped Guerciotti to perfect some aspects that could only be improved through extreme use by a professional. Thanks to this teamwork, Eclipse 769 is now available in all its perfection to tread roads throughout the world. But tests and new research are also conducted on all products in the company’s range since Guerciotti aims to continue improvement and improve year after year. This is because new technologies, technical solutions and consumer needs may emerge from one year to the next. And this is the case of the Eureka EVO, the evolution of the Eureka model. In the 2013 version, Guerciotti has added upgrades on the technical and design levels to meet new market needs. Exploiting the same materials, but with some modifications on the production level, the Eureka EVO is lighter than the previous model and, thanks to CLS CARBON DESIGN, it is 10% more rigid and with compatibility for mechanical and electronic groups. From the design standpoint, Eureka EVO is fully internally wired, without weighing down the overall frame. The new Lunar 2013 model also followed the same procedure as the Eclipse 769, with a project that initiated over a year and a half ago. Numerous laboratory and wind tunnel tests were conducted to obtain the best product possible, followed by road tests to achieve the best performance. With the new Lunar, available in the specific version for Triathlon and time trials, Guerciotti more specifically explores these two markets with top range specific products in this new 2013 range. The Triathlon market which, even for Guerciotti, represents and increasingly growing market, has created the need to present a more complete range, even in aluminium. And this need also led to the construction of the CRUX TT products and, simultaneously, CRUX TRACK. CRUX TT was created by developing the Guerciotti R&D engineers’ ideas, meeting UCI regulations for time trials and aims to meet real triathlon athletes’ needs. The design (example of rear dropouts) and final geometries were designed and created to optimise wheel positioning and to reduce the frontal aerodynamic impact. Both CRUX TT and CRUX TRACK products were also created to achieve excellent quality/price ratios. In the near future, these will represent the two markets in which Guerciotti intends to gain market leadership.
Per un marchio come Guerciotti la parola fondamentale è solo una: innovazione. E questo anche in discipline dove è presente da sempre, come il ciclocross. Soprattutto in un mercato dove è uno dei leader indiscussi, Guerciotti per confermare questa leaderships pensa, lavora e progetta sempre nuove soluzioni, per seguire quelle che sono le nuove esigenze del mercato. Nel 2013 Guerciotti perfeziona ulteriormente un modello già vincente, come Lembeek. Con Lembeek Disc, Guerciotti mette a disposizione degli amanti del ciclocross un prodotto altamente tecnologico e con l’innovativa soluzione dei freni a disco. Le migliore a livello di prestazione sono state ottenute anche grazie alla differente composizione del carbonio utilizzata per costruire Lembeek Disc. Questa nuova versione è composta dal seguente mix: 10% 46Ton Super High Modulus HS40 carbon pre-peg, 25% 30Ton High Modulus MR60 carbon prepeg high strenght, 60% 24Ton High modulus T700S carbon pre-peg strenght, 5% 3K weave carbon pre-peg. La tecnologia dei materiali compositi di grafite e resina epossidica ad alte prestazioni impiegata nella produzione del telaio sfrutta lo stesso sistema applicato nei materiali delle strutture aeronautiche ed aerospaziali, come A380 e B787,ad esempio.Tutto ciò, associato ad un processo di stampaggio innovativo a preaspirazione con Bladder Molding a sezione variabile, ha permesso di ottenere un telaio dalle elevatissime prestazioni. L’intera struttura del telaio, infine, viene arricchita da nervature e da passaggi cavo interni. Lembeek Disc rappresenta ovviamente il primo passo di nuovi progetti in cantiere nei laboratori Guerciotti sia per il mondo fuoristrada che non solo. Sempre nel fuoristrada, Guerciotti entra in modo più significativo nel campo Off-Road. Guerciotti in questa gamma 2013 si presenta più che mai pronta ad accettare anche una difficilissima sfida in un mondo come quello del cross country. Nel 2011 Andromeda rappresentò il primo modello MTB dell’azienda milanese, oggi Guerciotti presenta Dorado disponibile in due versioni: una da 29 e una da 27.5. Quest’ultima rappresenta la novità assoluta per l’off-road, mettendosi così a pari passo con marchi più consolidati per questa disciplina. Entrambi i modelli sono nati con i medesimi concetti produttivi e materiali. Il filato di carbonio di questi modelli è di produzione dell’azienda giapponese Toray, leader nel mercato del composito, come tutti i prodotti corsa di Guerciotti di altissima gamma. La realizzazione dei telai è effettuata utilizzando mix di filato 24T, 30T e 36T in diverse posizioni del telaio. Solo nei punti di maggior interesse quali scatola movimento e piantone sterzo è stato usato un filato 42T, utilizzato nella produzione aeronautica, capace quindi di sostenere tutti i carichi di punta momentanei a cui un telaio MTB è solitametne sottoposto. Salti e compressioni “logiche” date dal normale uso agonistico, vengono così assorbite e ripartite su tutta la struttura, grazie al sandwich di filati debitamente composto.

Especially in a market where it is the undisputable leader, to confirm this leadership, Guerciotti constantly conceives, works and designs new solutions to meet new market needs. In 2013, Guerciotti further perfected an already winning model, the Lembeek. With Lembeek Disc, Guerciotti provides cyclo-cross lovers with a highly technological product and the innovative brake disc solution. The performance improvements were obtained thanks to the different composition of the carbon used to construct the Lembeek Disc. This new version is made up of the following mix: 10% 46Ton Super High Modulus HS40 carbon pre-peg, 25% 30Ton High Modulus MR60 carbon pre-peg high strength, 60% 24Ton High modulus T700S carbon pre-peg strength, 5% 3K weave carbon pre-peg. The high performance graphite and epoxy resin composite material technology used in frame production exploits the same system applied in aeronautical and aerospace constructions like the A380 and B787. All this associated with an innovative prevacuum moulding process with variable section Bladder Moulding to create a top performance frame. Lastly, the entire frame structure is enhanced by ribbing and internal wires. Lembeek Disc obviously represents the first step in new projects under construction at Guerciotti laboratories for the off-road world and more. Guerciotti has bolstered its presence in the Off-Road field. With this 2013 range, Guerciotti proves to be more than ready to accept a difficult challenge in the cross country world. In 2011, Andromeda represented the Milanese company’s first MTB model. Now Guerciotti introduces the Dorado in two versions: one 29 and one 27.5. The latter is brand new to off-road, putting it on the par with more consolidated brands in this discipline. Both models were conceived with the same production concepts and materials. The carbon filaments in these models is produced by the Japanese company Toray, leader in the composite market, top of the line like all Guerciotti race products. The frame was created using a mix of 24T, 30T and 36T filaments in different frame positions. Only in the most solicited points such as the BB shell and seat tube was 42T used. This material is used in aeronautics, thus able to support all the temporary peak loads typical of an MTB frame. Jumps and “logic” compressions given by normal competitive use are thus absorbed and distributed throughout the structure thanks to the duly composed sandwich structure.
Eclipse 769 è l’ultimo grande prodotto del progetto NO LIMIT CARBON ENGINEERING e rappresenta il nuovo altissimo di gamma di Guerciotti per la stagione 2013. Per la realizzazione di Eclipse 769 sono state utilizzate, per il triangolo anteriore, delle tubazioni prodotte con filamenti di carbonio della migliore tipologia fornite dalla Toray, in UD-HHM-M55J (altissimo modulo ed altissima resistenza) posizionati in modalità “asimmetrica“ per dare maggiore resistenza agli stress subiti durante l’uso del telaio, con la possibilità, inoltre, di ridurre il valore dei pesi e massimizzare il rapporto resistenza/peso. Per quanto riguarda invece la realizzazione del carro posteriore, sono stati usati materiali di classificazione aeronautica, HM e HS (alto modulo ed alta resistenza, sempre di provenienza Toray) combinati a delle fibre M55J, con stratificazioni a rinforzi localizzati per raggiungere i nostri standard di leggerezza, rigidità e resistenza. La costruzione dei telai avviene con il sistema “tube to tube” e durante tutte le varie fasi di lavorazione, fasciatura, resinatura, carteggiatura e verniciatura, il telaio viene costantemente pesato per mantenere sotto controllo il peso finale. Durante la laminazione di tutte le tubazioni che compongono il telaio, vengono inseriti dei rinforzi localizzati a seconda del tipo di stress che subisce ogni singola zona del telaio. Infine il telaio viene sottoposto ai test di rigidità e di rottura tramite appositi macchinari. Ulteriore novità è l’utilizzo del nuovo sistema BB386EVO di FSA, che rappresenta l’ultima evoluzione degli standard di movimento. BB386EVO è il primo standard ad essere progettato e disegnato per unire tutti i benefici degli standard precedenti, considerando tutti i diversi aspetti: l’ottimizzazione delle pedivelle, ottimizzazione del telaio e l’ottimizzazione nel loro insieme. La scelta del tubo sella da 27.2 e di una forcella monoscocca da 1-1/4” è stata fondamentale per garantire il raggiungimento dell’incredibile peso di 769 grammi.
Eclipse 769 is the latest top product in the NO LIMIT CARBON ENGINEERING project and represents Guerciotti’s newest top of the line for the 2013 season. To construct the Eclipse 769, the best Toray carbon filaments were used for the front triangle and bars. In UD-HHM-M55J (high module and high resistance) “asymmetrically” positioned to provide higher resistance to stress during frame use with the additional potential of reducing weight value and maximising the resistance/weight ratio. As for the seat and chainstay, aeronautic classified material, HM and HS, were used (high module and high resistance by Toray), combined with M55J fibres, with localised layers and reinforcement to achieve our weight, rigidity and resistance standards. Frames are constructed with the “tube to tube” system and, during all the processing, banding, resin processing, sanding and painting phases, the frame is constantly weighed to keep final weight under control. Localised reinforcements are inserted when laminating all tubes in the frame according to the type of stress applied to each single frame area. Lastly, the frame is subject to rigidity and break tests using specific machinery. An additional new feature is the use of the new FSA BB386EVO system which represents the latest motion standard evolution. BB386EVO is the first standard to be designed to combine all the benefits of previous standards, considering all the different aspects: crank optimisation, frame optimisation and the optimisation of their combination. The choice of the 27.2 seat post and 1-1/4” monocoque dropout was key in guaranteeing the incredible 769 gram weight.

Eclipse Plus rappresenta il top di gamma insieme al modello Eclipse 769. Telaio estremamente leggero, ma creato per supportare maggiori stress e pesi da parte dell’utilizzatore finale. Realizzato utilizzando carbonio Toray. Il tessuto esterno è 3K plain M49 della Hexcel, l’unidirezionale all’interno è M46L dell’Advanced. Il tubo obliquo è un insieme di HR40 e M64, materiali che conferiscono una notevole rigidità a torsione al tubo ed una maggiore resistenza agli urti. L’utilizzo della fibra HM46J, fibra UD, è presente solo nell’obliquo per conferire più resistenza a torsione. L’utilizzo di materiali come l’M46J e dell’HM64 nella costruzione di Eclipse Plus permettono risultati altissimi tra cui restistenza a trazione (210kg/ mm2) e quella a compressione (72.5kg/mm2). È un prodotto dedicato per un uso professionistico.
Eclipse Plus is the top of the line along with the Eclipse 769 model. An extremely lightweight frame created to support higher stress and weight by the end user. Made using Toray carbon. The internal interweaving is Hexcel’s 3K plain M49, one-directional inside, and Advanced’s M48L. The down tube is a combination of HR40 and M64, materials that grant the tube significant torsion resistance and higher shock resistance. HM46J and UD fibres are only used in the down tube to grant torsion resistance. The use of materials like M46J and HM64 in the construction of the Eclipse Plus provide high traction resistance (210kg/mm2) and compression resistance (72.5kg/mm2). It is a product intended for professional use.

Lembeek Disk is the newest top of the line model intended for cyclo-cross. For the top of the line cyclo-cross model, Guerciotti has also opted for a new frame compatible for mechanics and electronics. This demonstrates how Guerciotti is always attentive to increasing consumer needs. Il progetto del nuovo Lunar 2013 rappresenta la nuova creatura del progetto NO LIMIT CARBON ENGINEERING, rendendolo disponibile in tre differenti versioni : crono, thriathlon e pista. Guerciotti con questo nuovo progetto vuole presentarsi con un prodotto di altissima gamma in tutte queste tre discipline. Il modello Lunar è fabbricato utilizzando la migliore tecnologia EPS. La speciale tecnologia EPS utilizzata per questi elementi permette, anche in una struttura con spessore differenziato, di ottenere una distribuzione omogenea di resina e strati di fibra, fornendo così una sicura, costante e controllata distribuzione nei punti di concentrazione di stress. La tecnologia EPS ha il grande vantaggio, grazie al perfetto controllo della superficie interna, di mantenere e aumentare la rigidità riducendo il peso. Tramite il CLS CARBON DESIGN si sono studiate forme attraenti e spigolose tali da migliorare la penetrazione frontale ed aumentarne l’aerodinamicità (grazie anche a studi nella galleria del vento). Il miglioramento dell’aerodinamicità è stato ottenuto anche scegliendo la soluzione dei freni interni : quello anteriore posto dietro la forcella, mentre quello posteriore nascosto sotto la scatola movimento centrale. Lo stesso design della forcella, realizzata anche questa con tecnologia EPS (come il reggisella), è stato studiato per aumentarne rigidità e penetrazione dell’aria. Maggiore rigidità si è ottenuta grazie all’utilizzo di forcellini completamente in carbonio con innesto dritto tipo pista, costruiti in un pezzo unico con il tubo del carro orizzontale. Lunar 2013 prevede interamente il passaggio di cavi interni ed è disponibile sia per gruppi meccanici che per gruppi elettronici (Shimano DI2 e Campagnolo EPS). Questo per garantire il miglior montaggio, per una bici estrema. Dalla versione crono si è poi lavorato sull’evoluzione delle versioni Thriathlon e Pista. Lo studio delle geometrie studiate per Lunar è stato basato sulla possibilità di avere con uno stesso telaio un prodotto perfetto sia per le gare a cronometro che per quelle di Thriathlon, cambiando solo il reggisella. Il reggisella Lunar è quindi disponibile con gradazioni differenti a seconda dell’uso che si vuole fare del telaio: 75° (corsa) e 78° (Thriathlon). Lunar, nella versione pista, rappresenta il primo progetto in carbonio monoscocca per Guerciotti in questa disciplina. Disciplina su cui Guerciotti non ha mai sviluppato prodotti in fibra di carbonio, pur avendo avuto testimonial d’eccezione come Vera Carrara ed Olga Slyoussareva e avendo ottenuto importanti vittorie a livello giovanile. Con questo prodotto Guerciotti dimostra che è suo obiettivo essere presente in tutte le discipline più importanti del ciclismo.

EPS technology has the great advantage of maintaining and increasing rigidity while reducing weight, thanks to the perfect control of the internal surface. Attractive and sharp shapes were studied using CLS CARBON DESIGN to improve frontal penetration and increase the aerodynamics (also thanks to studies in the wind tunnel). Aerodynamics were also improved by selecting the internal brake solution: the front brake is behind the fork while the rear brake is hidden under the central groupset. The same fork design, also made with EPS technology (like the seat post) was designed to increase rigidity and air penetration. Higher rigidity was also obtained thanks to the use of fully carbon dropouts with track type straight gears, solidly constructed with the horizontal carriage tube. Lunar 2013 fully includes internal wires and is available for both mechanical groups and electronic groups (Shimano DI2 and Campagnolo EPS). This guarantees better assembly in an extreme bike. The triathlon and track versions evolved from the time trial version. The geometry study designed for Lunar is based on the possibility of having a perfect product with the same frame for time trials and triathlon, only changing the seat post. The Lunar seat post is thus available with different degrees according to frame use: 75° (time trial) and 78° (Triathlon). Lunar, in the track version, is Guerciotti’s first carbon monocoque project in this discipline. Discipline in which Guerciotti had never created carbon fibre products even though it had excellent testimonials like Vera Carrara and Olga Slyoussareva and won significant victory on the young level. Guerciotti, anche in questa gamma 2013, presenta la linea di biciclette dedicate al marchio Unico 1. Unico 1 è un marchio creato da Diego Murari, un ragazzo di 43 anni, al quale, nel 2006, hanno diagnosticato una malattia incurabile, dandogli solo pochi mesi di vita. Dopo aver condiviso le sue riflessioni con alcuni amici sportivi ha preso corpo l’idea di costruire una fondazione, denominata “Fondazione Unico 1 – Onlus”, che ha quale scopo principale quello di aiutare tutte le persone che, come Diego, dopo essere state colpite da gravi malattie, stanno lottando ogni giorno per sopravvivere e non possono permettersi, a causa del loro costo, quelle cure che darebbero loro un futuro. Le attività della Fondazione sono finanziate, oltre alle donazioni, dai proventi derivanti dalla promozione del marchio “Unico 1” che caratterizza tra l’altro una linea di abbigliamento sportivo e gadgets. Guerciotti ha sposato in pieno questo progetto creando la propria linea di merchandising ed abbigliamento tempo libero con il marchio Unico 1, oltre, ovviamente, ad una linea di biciclette destinata a tutti gli utilizzi: corsa, single speed e trekking. In this 2013 range, Guerciotti is also including the bicycle line dedicated to the Unico 1 brand. Unico 1 is a brand created by Diego Murari, a 43-year old youngster who, in 2006, was diagnosed with an incurable disease, giving him only a few months to live. After sharing his thoughts with some athletic friends, the idea of creating a foundation, called the “Unico 1 non-profit foundation”, whose main goal is to help people who, like Diego, after suffering severe illnesses, are fighting to survive everyday and cannot afford those cures that would give them a future due to their costs. In addition to donations, Foundation activities are financed by “Unico 1” brand profits, also characterising an sports apparel and gadgets line.
