Er utviklet etter ønske fra sykkelproffer: Under konkurranser i svært varmt vær brukte de logisk nok ikke hot embrocation, men da savnet de den bra muskelfølelsen i bena, og hadde derfor behov for en mildere variant. I Frankrike rundt er det viktig å ha “bra bein” fra begynnelsen av, slik at man er godt forberedt på å gå i brudd!

HOW TO EXTEND THE LIFETIME OF YOUR DISC BRAKE PADS » Organic quality for dry conditions » Sintered quality for all conditions Bed-in disc brake pads extends the life span of the pads considerably! Squeeze them in carefully and ensure that the pad just audibly touches the brake disc for approximately 100 meters at a speed of +/- 25km/hour. Now squeeze a little harder on the brake so that the speed decreases to approximately 5km/hour, and then slowly increase the speed while gently squeezing the brake. Repeat this 10-12 times and the pads are worn in. Never brake to a stop with the brake still squeezed in order to prevent damage to the rotor. Always bed-in the front and rear brakes separately.

Climbed into the saddle you immediately feel the high feeling with the bike, due to accurate work done in the design phase on the frame, ensuring perfect integration between rider and bike. Starting from the popular measures of the previous frame set the concentration of mass has been improved by optimizing at the front weight distribution with rider on board: the result is a higher riding position that combines perfect control and extreme driving pleasure.

CONCEPT

THE FRONT

The Italian history in competitions and mechanical engineering applied to cycling has no equal. In racing Italy has a century of experience and a lot of specific knowledge in cycling unequaled, the result of a history of many World Championships, Milan-San Remo and the Tour of Italy, to name just a few of the hundreds of races will be held annually. Italy is also one of the nations with a lot of excellence in manufacturing of composite materials made of carbon fiber, which has given rise to a technological complex of leader companies in the creation of special high-performance automotive, marine and aerospace. For these reasons, our IRIDE frame is manufactured in Italy, we have chosen to invest in people and in knowledge of our engineers and of our suppliers that combine their technical and human to that of the designers trained in home of style and innovation creators of badges and recognized brands in the world.

The elegant line front steering tube-fork with its sleek profile, promotes aerodynamics and eliminates the turbulence impact, by directing the air flow harmoniously into the side walls of the aggressive front triangle which presents innovative square-section tubes. This solution significantly increases the overall rigidity of the bike optimizing weight distribution. The result is a very trim racing that favors the handling in critical situations and quick response in the nerve tracts emphasizing safety and fun.

DESIGN Already at first glance you immediately notice its Italian soul, the high front and aggressive exudes power and elegance, the clear and decided outlines express the charism accompanying gaze on the rear compact and straightforward. A game of clean volumes which takes into account the bulkiness of the drive unit and the rear wheel harmonizing the proportions and emphasizing the true racing and aggressive character. The profiles of square tubes of latest generation blend with the geometry and the measures that are a synthesis of the century-old Italian cycling experience. THE REAR The rear prospectively complete the design of the front triangle, the choice of compact and linear sections hides technologies dedicated to extreme performance. The structural link with the front of the seatstays allows all parts of the frame sides to work in a synergistic manner by bringing the lateral stiffness at the highest levels. The triangular truss structure of the rear frame and the longitudinal arrangement of the bands of unidirectional carbon between the layers of carbon W24C constituents seatstays creates an active system of vertical absorption. In detail, the oblique and horizontal sheaths are made integral by the rear dropout (in full structure of carbon made with laser cutting) in order to behave as a single body free to respond to the vertical stress from the road (along the lines of force of the beams unidirectional) by absorbing vibrations and allowing you to maintain consistent grip and traction.

BOTTOM BRACKET The bottom bracket shell is totally in carbon fused with high-pressure together with seatstays and down tube to ensure an extreme rigidity of the system eliminating any power loss. The oversized sectional structure completely eliminates the unbalance of the chain force without the need to change the shape of the tubes, without altering the chassis and the excellent weight distribution.

We do not view tje bole as an autonomous entitiy. That’s why at the beginning of every development process rotwild engineers put every bike into perspective with the parameters rider and enviroment.

The improvement of overall efficiency through traction while at the same time increasing ride comfort demand a precise balance of the kinematic system with its pivot points.

Our holistic approach enables us to optimise the connection between bike and rider. We collaborate with international top riders as soon as we begin prototyping. In real-life tests under varying conditions they push the materials to the utmost limits, in order to guarantee total control over the bike in any given situation. Our holistic ergonomic principle defines the character of all our ROTWILD bikes and sets the tone for all further geometric and kinematic configurations, enabling us to build competitive bikes at the highest level, as is impressively documented by various World Championship titles.

In order to achieve this, the chassis is conceived as a fully active and drive-influence-free construction. We therefore set up every chassis to conform to the overall concept of the ROTWILD bike in question. For a precise kinematic design our engineers also rely on multi-body simulations. here internal and external forces within a kinematic system are investigated by using specifically developed algorithms. Constructively, our engineers determine self-damping and self-oscillation properties. Following their analysis the exact frame rigidity is defined to make it as stiff as possible while still being able to absorb a part of the internal forces. The final result is a highly efficient kinematic system offering more forward momentum and improved control and less fatigue.

GEOMETRY

» Improved alignment » Improved research » Improved control The superior handling of our rotwild bikes is achived by the application-specific geometry, which takes into account dynamic centres of gravity and wheel contact points as well as the dimensions of individual structural components. In order to generate the ideal geometry through setting up the individual bike parameters, it is essential to precisely calibrate distances, angular dimensions and their ratios. In the process of defining the geometry our engineers perform a rigid body analysis involving optimisation algorithms as well as topology calculations. Using a finite element method they investigate the rigidity of the individual components in relation to their usage. The fine-tuning of geometric values and corresponding centres of gravity result in an ideal rider position on the bike.

Although the bicycle has already been invented, we’re still optimistic. Our history tells us that nothing is impossible; all we have to do is look beyond the present. This way a handlebar must turn into a handlebar which didn’t exist yet, A bike ribbon must turn into a bike ribbon which didn’t exist yet, A bike must turn into a bike which didn’t exist yet. We apply Design principles to our products, but also to our company. Design is not just looks. Design means shape, first project, outline, technology, technique, materials, innovation, creativeness, function, quality, uniqueness, know-how, emotion. We want every product to have an Idea, since, if it is a copy, it cannot be Cinelli. However, the road to the mission is long and not easy at all. One has to learn the ABC or better, the LPK of bicycles: » Loving » Practising » Knowing We have to get to know every detail, and not just because we are used to racing them. We love them and appreciate their history. Our head is in the future, but our feet have been standing on solid ground every since 1943 when Cino Cinelli won the Milan-Sanremo race. At Cinelli we keep in step with our times, we know who Duchamp and Kurt Cobain are. We are curious: about art, music, design, other sports.
