LEARNING TO BE BETTER ROTARIANS: Lakewood Ranch club members had a wonderful day of learning at the Sept. 10 session of the Rotary Leadership Institute, which was hosted at Rotarian owned Maloney Funeral Home in Sarasota. Posing in the urn room are, from left: Susan Courter, Carey Leichter, Sybil Porter and Marie Thomson. Club member Don Haake also attended as did prospective member Tom Haase. See the calendar on Page 2 for more RLI dates.

THE Small Group Meal programIS under way. Two clipboards with sign up sheets were passed around at the Sept. 8 club meeting and will continue to be circulated at meetings. One sheet is for hosts (it's the blue one), and the red one is for people to attend as a guest.

Hosts receive event guidelines and an invitation template. Pairings between hosts and guests are made with considerations such as mixing longstanding members with newer ones, or those with complementary interests, or just randomly putting people together knowing that they will enjoy finding out about each other. The wait time for an invitation depends on when and how many members sign up to be hosts If you sign up as a guest, you will be invited to a Small Group Meal

SMALL GROUP MEALS RETURN; SIGN UP SOON TO BECOME EITHER A MEAL HOST OR GUEST
