VOLUNTEER TO HELP RENOVATE HOMES TO GIVE TO DESERVING VETERANS
Our Next Mission received a note from the manager of Pescara Lakes, 570 57th Ave. W., Bradenton, where they have done extensive work over the past few years. The owner of the home on Lot 63 wants to give ONM the home. A curbside inspection looks like it is something that ONM can accomplish. The home suffered some damage from the hurricane, but appears to have "solid bones" that will allow us to provide a new home to a veteran who needs housing.
ONM had a productive week starting on the new unit. They cleaned up the interior and exterior and hauled the material to the recycling center. They checked the electrical wiring and system, and developed a to do list to improve the reliability of the system, and also ordered the material to replace the carport They demolished and removed about half of the old floor; the remainder of the floor is scheduled for removal early this week Support friends at Habitat for Humanity have ordered the replacement flooring plywood for pickup on Tuesday, and ONM will start installing upon delivery
Thanks to all who volunteered last week! The muscles are a little sore, but in a good way This week, we are working Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday We are not working on Wednesday If you would like a little exercise and fellowship, please join us Every skill level is needed and appreciated! Rotarian Russ
Sexton helped out last week, and several other Rotarians asked to be added to the work list.
