McGovern Family Reunion in Creggs

A very successful McGovern reunion was held over the August Bank Holiday weekend at the family homestead in Corlackin, Creggs, Co. Galway.

Over eighty family members travelled from various locations in the USA, the UK, Wales, and of course more locally.

A ‘meet and greet’ evening was held on the Friday evening at Roarke’s Bar in Creggs; a celebratory dinner at Dalton’s in Fuerty on the Saturday even- ing, and, the icing on the cake was a marquee event at the homestead on the Sunday evening where music, song, dance and memory making greeted the daylight.
