Bodybuilding champ aims to be at finals
FITNESS professional, 29-yearold, Mario Pascarella from Kempston, who has worked as a trainer at The Gym Group Bedford on London Road for 18 months. Mario was recently named British Champion of the UK Body building & Fitness Federation (UKBFF) under 80kg Inter mediate catagory. Mario spoke with Kempston Calling and said: “I started preparing for this show 16-20 weeks prior to the competition. I was up at the early hours of the morning to perform cardio at least six days per week. My main diet was higher protein and lower carbohydrate intake coming from chicken, lean steak, eggs, rice and vegetables. “I workout at various gyms around bedford as I like a change of different atmosphere from time to time. I’m passionate about bodybuilding because it creates self discipline and its a long journey, a bit like a marathon. I will push myself to the limit even more for next year in the UKBFF Mens Open class at the British finals in Nottingham.”
