Mea Break Storywalk

WHEN: Thursday, October 19 –Sunday, October 22

TIME: Walk anytime between 8am-8pm

WHERE: Central Park

The Robert Trail Library and Rosemount Parks and Recreation are once again teaming up to offer a Storywalk though Central Park during MEA Break. Take a self-guided walk in the park on Thursday, October 19-Sunday, October 22 while reading pages from the children’s book “We All Play”, by Julie Flett. A Storywalk is an innovative and delightful way for children and adults to enjoy reading and the outdoors at the same time. Laminated pages from a children’s book will be installed along the path around the pond at Central Park. As you stroll down the trail, you’re directed to the next page in the story. This Storywalk is about ¾ of a mile and stroller friendly.

Animals and kids love to play! This wonderful book celebrates playtime and the connection between children and the natural world. Beautiful illustrations show: birds who chase and chirp, bears who wiggle and wobble, whales who swim and squirt, owls who peek and peep, and a diverse group of kids who love to do the same, shouting “We play too”!

GRANDPARENT & ME WORKSHOP

You are invited to our special Grandparent & Me Workshop event. Make some fun memories with your grandchild (or other significant child in your life) with a take home DIY construction project, games, yummy snacks, and a photo booth. Ages 4-8 with an adult.

GRANDPARENT & ME TEA

You are cordially invited to our special Grandparent & Me Tea. Dress for the occasion! Make some fun memories with your grandchild (or other significant child in your life) with crafts, games, and a photo booth. We will serve a variety of teas and juices, yummy appetizers, and fun fancy desserts. We will have teacups available, but please feel free to bring your own if you would like. Ages 4-8 with an adult.
