Halloween Trail

The annual Halloween

41st ANNUAL

Trail is scheduled for Saturday, October 28 from 6-8pm. This event is held at Central Park (across from City Hall). This year’s Halloween celebration will provide a fun-filled evening for preschool through middle-school aged youth. The trail will begin at the lower level of the Shamrock Animal Hospital parking lot (The Warehouse Fitness Center) on Highway 3 (South Robert Trail), wind its way through Central Park, and exit on 145th Street West. Halloween Pumpkin Composting

Residents can drop their pumpkins in the labeled bins in the lower City Hall parking lot any time from Saturday, November 4 through Sunday, November

5. Painted pumpkins and pumpkins with excessive wax or other inorganic residue cannot be accepted and should go in the trash. Please do not put anything other than pumpkins or gourds in the container.

Area volunteers will pass out candy; non-perishable food item donations will be accepted at the trail entrance for the Rosemount Family Resource Center/360 Communities.

Be sure to wear your Halloween costume and dress appropriately for the weather.

Halloween Costume Swap

Bring your gently-used and clean Halloween costumes you no longer want and bring home items that are new to you! No item donation is necessary to shop the swap; take or bring as much as you want! Please ensure that any items you bring are in fair condition, clean, and usable. Broken, ripped, or stained items not accepted. Event staff reserve the right to refuse any items. While this event occurs in Farmington, all are welcome to attend! Please contact Violet at (612) 268-9097 or violet.penman@rosemountmn.gov with any questions.

Breakfast With Santa

Santa and Mrs. Claus are coming to town to make an appearance and spend some time with your family at Breakfast with Santa! Kids will enjoy creating various holiday crafts while everyone enjoys a continental-style breakfast of muffins, donuts, fruit, yogurt, juice, hot cocoa and coffee. Bring your cameras and cell phones to take photos with Santa. Staff will be available to assist with photos.

Children and adults both need to pre-register for this event. Register early. Space is limited and may fill prior to the registration deadline.

Youth Activities

PARENT/TOT OPEN GYM (AGES 5-UNDER)

This FREE program provides children ages five and under an opportunity for recreational playtime in the gymnasium. Each child must be accompanied by a parent or guardian in order to participate in this drop-in program. The Parks and Rec- reation Department provides balls and other fun play equipment. Supervision of children during parent/tot open gym is the responsibility of the parent or guardian.

WHEN: Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays (Starts September 6)

Letter From Santa

Santa Claus is coming to Rosemount! Give your child a wonderful memory of Christmas 2023 with a personalized letter from Santa Claus himself! The letter will be addressed directly to your child. To personalize the letter, simply fill out the form below and submit it to our office no later than Wednesday, December `13. We want to make sure your child has Santa’s letter before Christmas.

Connecting People to Nature by “TEACHING ANYTHING OUTDOORS”. That is the mission of EcoElsa LLC. Natural spaces provide many opportunities for people whether it is as a place to stay physically active, to rest and relax, to be curious and explore, and so much more! This is why EcoElsa curriculum and programs are developed to show how nature can be a space for teaching different subjects and topics; and for different learning styles.

The three goals of EcoElsa are:

Helping people get outdoors to learn and have fun

Creating resources so that anything can be taught outdoors

Making the outdoors more accessible for more people

Our pre-school classes focus on helping preschoolers connect to nature while also preparing for school. All classes have activities for multiple learning styles as well as the opportunity to practice different developmental skills like fine and gross motor, social, emotional, communication, and more!

Little Nature Explorers

Join EcoElsa to explore through nature learning about the plants and animals that call it home. We will do a wide variety of outdoor activities that are great for preschoolers to get their minds and bodies moving!
