Our shows have an international flair this year with the Wailin’ Jennys from Canada, Tango Fire from Argentina and Rhythm of the Dance from Ireland. We welcome back two strong theatre events, Aquila Theatre with Twelfth Night and a return with a “twist” of one of last year’s favorites: 101 Years of Broadway. And if you love Broadway, don’t miss the longest running show in history, The Fantasticks, now brought to you with a fresh “steam punk” style. Dance offerings also feature Hubbard Street 2 from Chicago and Philly hip-hop greats Rennie Harris RHAW. We are always happy to bring several unique offerings to the region, including The Hot Club of San Francisco, and an event for all ages, Sing-a-long-a Sound of Music. We are so pleased to announce that the Rose Lehrman Arts Center was selected as a 2013 Harrisburg Magazine Readers’ Choice “Performance Hall.” Ticket buyers will be pleased that we continue to include all service fees in your total ticket price. We again offer a great discount with our “Create Your Own” package for 3 or more shows. As always, if you want to get the best seats first, join us as a “Friend” of the Live at Rose Lehrman series. Thanks for your on-going support…see you at the show!

HACC Theatre 2013-14 presents FRANKENSTEIN – a radio play by Philip Grecian,
“A Season of Moral Ambiguity”
based on the novel by Mary Shelley
Friday, Nov. 15 and Saturday, Nov. 16 | 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 17 | 2 p.m. Remember the good old days of radio - when people had to use their imaginations—when the mind was a stage. Those days are back - only better! Victor Frankenstein and his friend Henry Clerval set out to create life using corpses stolen from graveyards. With the aid of live Foley Artists, and talented voice actors, you can SEE as well as HEAR Mary Shelley’s classic tale brought to life!
ANTIGONE – freely adapted by Emily Mann from the play by Sophocles Friday, March 7 and Saturday, March 8 | 7:30 p.m. Sunday, March 9 | 2 p.m.
A modern re-telling of the classic Greek play in which Antigone battles her uncle Creon, for the right to bury her dead brother, despite his decree that to do so would mean her public execution. The path taken here - vengeance will breed vengeance - is a shattering lesson for our times.
Theatre for Young People
JUNGALBOOK—by Edward Mast and adapted from Rudyard Kipling’s “The Jungle Books”
Saturday, April 26 | 2 p.m.
In this innovative and contemporary retelling of Kipling’s story, the jungle of India is transformed into a playground on which Jungal Law forces teens, who embody the original Jungle Book characters, to choose sides in life or death conflict. Jungalbook won a Distinguished Play Award from the American Alliance for Theatre and Education in 1991. **Appropriate for ages 10 and older.
“I had the pleasure of enjoying 100 Years of Broadway ... I still cannot believe the amount of talent that graced the Rose Lehrman stage tonight. The warmth of every one of the performers came through in their genuine interaction with the audience...Never did I think that in my lifetime I would see performers of this caliber on one stage in Harrisburg, PA. Bravo to you for getting them here...a wonderful venue for a tremendous show!”
- Essie Petrovich, Patron
“For anyone that knows the Lehrman Center, they know that there isn’t one bad seat in the house. It is a small venue that packs a good punch.”
