The aims of our projekt I´m sure you all have read the project plan but I like to remind you of the main goals of the project.

The teams

This project has four important tasks; 1. Use ICT based peer learning to modernise teaching methods to improve students learning. By using selfdirected learning we expect to build a function for lifelong learning, critical thinking, problem solving, communication and teamwork. 2. Creating local sources of ICT based pedagogical resources. 3. Creating a uniform digital environment within the schools. 4. Help teachers to become better at using digital resources, or in a cross-disciplinary way and share good practice with colleagues from Europe. To evaluate our work I have begun a discussion with GĂśteborg University on collaboration.

General information This is a two year long Erasmus+ project running from 1.st of September 2014. Contracts: Contracts has been sent out to the coordination countries and will shortly be sent out to you by the National Agency. Budget: After the contracts have been sent back and signed, the Local Agency will pay out 65% of the approved funds. The project is co-funded by EU. That means that we recieve money for project management and implementation and for mobilities and subsistance. The last 35% of the money will be paid out after we have written the final report with the condition that we have achieved what is in the contract. The schools have to make sure that students and teachers have insurance when they are travelling. Monitoring: The EU will do spot checks. It is important to have all the documents in order, as well as the software platform Mobility+ which EU will provide. Check ups can be made up to 5 years after the finished project.

oulu (Finland) have finally met in London to start our collaboration. I must say that we are a great team!. In the 5 days we spent in London we managed to do a lot. We learnt more about PEER LEARNING. We spent 1,5 days at London Connected Learning Center -CLC. Where we got hands-on training in using tablets as well as other technologies. In this short time we learnt how to make movies and edit them, make sound recordings and how to use programs such a ’Lino it’, ’I can animate’, ’Explain Everything’ to mention a few. The coordinators also made alot of progress in deciding budget matters, mobilities and activities. We all worked hard to assure the planned work will be done. We also divided the responsabilities. Sweden is in charge of project management, England is responsible for IT including managing the webpage, Denmark takes care of evaluation and Finland is in charge of quality control.

Coming activities: The first task is to form national and international peer groups. The themes for the first term is safe behaviour online and to learn more about the technologies we will use. We will also have a logotype competition. The next mobility will be in Finland in April.

How is XPLICiT part of your organisation? In this new Ersamus+ project quality and policy change are the most important aspects. Given this it is important the the project becomes a part of your organisation rather then some extra work. We don´t want to work more, we want to work smarter. So, please ask yourself and your management -and project team the following questions; • How is XPLICiT part of the organisation's strategic plan for school development? • What needs will XPLICiT address in your organisation? How is XPLICiT linked to the long term strategic plan for your school? • How will you evaluate and analyse the activities/results throughout the project?
